SEBI Chief Madhabi Puri Buch Accused by Congress of Triple Salary; ICICI, PM Modi Targeted
Congress Party’s Media and Publicity Head, Pavan Kheda, held a press conference and made significant claims. He stated, “A chess game is unfolding in this country, but we have not decisively identified who the players are. There are various pieces involved. We are going to talk about one of them, named Madhabi Puri Buch.”
Madhabi Puri Buch Should Resign
Pavan Kheda said that between 2017 and 2024, ICICI Bank received regular income amounting to crores, and TDS on e-shops was also paid by the same bank. This is a direct violation of regulations. After this, during 2019-20, the salary received from ICICI Bank increased. So, if Madhabi Puri Buch had any shame, she should resign.
‘16.8 Crores from ICICI Bank Between 2017 and 2024’
Congress spokesperson Pavan Kheda raised questions, asking, “The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), which regulates the stock market where we all invest our money, has its chairman appointed by a Cabinet Appointment Committee that includes the Prime Minister and the Home Minister Amit Shah. This committee has two members responsible for appointing the SEBI chairman.”
He further mentioned that regarding SEBI Chairman Madhabi Puri Buch, it has come to attention that she received 16.8 crores from ICICI Bank between 2017 and 2024. If you are a full-time SEBI member, why were you receiving a salary from ICICI Bank?
Pavan Kheda Claims Salary from Three Sources
Pavan Kheda claimed that the SEBI chief received salaries from three sources: ICICI Bank, ICICI Prudential, and SEBI itself. She was also receiving ESOPs and TDS from ICICI Bank. Hence, they want to know why, as a full-time SEBI member, she was receiving a salary from ICICI Bank.
Questions Posed to PM Modi by Pavan Kheda
When selecting the SEBI Chairman, what are the criteria? Were these facts disclosed during the appointment process? And if not, how does the government operate? Was the Prime Minister aware that the SEBI Chairman was sitting in a profit-making office and receiving salary from ICICI alongside her SEBI role? Is the PM aware that the SEBI Chairman is making decisions on many matters related to ICICI? Despite many facts about the SEBI Chairman, who is protecting her?
‘Who Are the Chess Players?’
Pavan Kheda further added that many cases related to ICICI are in SEBI’s hands, and SEBI is making decisions on them. Who are these chess players who are so fearless that they might explode at any moment? If this is your new India, this is also a new Congress, and it causes many explosions. Kheda announced on social media that a major revelation would be made at 11:30 AM today.
