4-Year-Old Venisha: Learning Sanskrit and Reciting Sacred Verses in the Womb
A 4-year-old girl named Venisha from Vadodara began reciting Sanskrit shlokas at a very young age. At the tender age of 2, Venisha started her journey of speaking Sanskrit. Today, at the age of 4, she fluently recites many shlokas, including the Hanuman Chalisa and praises of Lord Rama, alongside her mother. Venisha even sings bhajans (devotional songs) with her mother.
Venisha Stays Away from Mobile Devices
In today’s mobile age, many young children are often engrossed with mobile devices from a very young age. However, in Manjalpur, Vadodara, 4-year-old Radhika Ben Darji’s daughter Venisha stays away from mobile devices. She recites Sanskrit shlokas and has learned Sanskrit by listening to them. She can recite shlokas dedicated to Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu, Vakratunda, Hanuman Chalisa, and praises of Lord Rama. Venisha learns these shlokas while listening to them and has made remarkable progress. She has never been forced to memorize shlokas, and her knowledge continues to expand.
Venisha’s Learning Journey Through Her Mother’s Voice
Venisha’s mother, Radhikaben Darji, explained that she started imparting a sanskara (virtuous practice) to her unborn child while she was pregnant. After her daughter’s birth, she began reciting the Sundarkand daily. When Venisha was 2.5 years old, she started reciting the Hanuman Chalisa. Radhikaben Darji follows a strict practice of not using mobile phones in front of her daughter and believes that children should learn sanskaras without mobile devices.
The Importance of Limiting Mobile Device Usage
Radhikaben emphasizes that children, especially young ones, should be kept away from mobile devices. A certain amount of mobile usage may be allowed when necessary, but not excessively. Mobile phones should be used judiciously and sparingly in front of children. This approach helps children in learning and keeps them away from mobile devices.
Daily Worship and Recitation
The family performs puja (ritual worship) daily. In the evening, for about half an hour, they perform worship. During this time, Venisha recites shlokas and sings bhajans. Her 18-year-old sister has also been inspired by her and started singing many bhajans, reflecting the family’s commitment to daily rituals and recitation.
