Saif Ali Khan Attacked at Residence
Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked at his Khar residence in Mumbai around 2:30 AM on Wednesday. The intruder, armed with a knife, inflicted injuries on Saif’s neck, back, arms, and head. Saif was rushed to Lilavati Hospital at 3:30 AM, where he underwent surgery. Mumbai Police is investigating the motive behind the attack and the identity of the assailant.
Details of the Attack
Dr. Neeraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital, revealed that Saif suffered six knife wounds, two of which were deep, with one close to the spinal cord. Saif is being treated by a team of specialists, including surgeons and anesthesiologists.
Intruder Demanded ₹1 Crore
According to Saif’s maid, she initially mistook the shadow near the bathroom for Kareena Kapoor. Upon realizing it was an intruder, the staff confronted the assailant, who demanded ₹1 crore. Saif intervened during the altercation, resulting in injuries. The staff locked the intruder in another room and called for help.
CCTV Footage Reveals Escape
The attacker was caught on CCTV escaping via a staircase. Police suspect the assailant is a seasoned criminal based on the method of the attack.

Mumbai Police and Crime Branch have formed multiple teams to investigate the case. They are analyzing mobile network data and CCTV footage. One suspect has been identified, and police are interrogating individuals connected to Saif’s household staff.
Saif’s Condition Stable
Doctors confirmed Saif is out of danger after undergoing surgery for deep wounds. He remains in the ICU, and a discharge decision will be made soon.
