Russian Woman Causes Uproar in Ahmedabad Hotel: Attacks CID Team, Requires Extra Police

On the night of July 30th, Gujarat’s CID Crime conducted raids at 35 locations, arresting several suspects. A team of 35 police inspectors raided upscale hotels in Ahmedabad and some hotels in Gandhinagar simultaneously, exposing a widespread sex racket. Among those arrested were foreign women and transgender individuals. The CID Crime had been investigating this racket and, on Thursday night, discovered two Russian women at Shaily Hotel in Vastrapur, who were linked to the racket.

Russians Resisted and Fought with Police; Additional Female Officers Called In

When the CID team arrived for document verification and to check passports, the Russian women resisted and fought with the officers, even kicking them. The CID Crime team had to call for additional female police officers from Vastrapur Police Station for assistance. The CID has now filed a complaint against the Russian women for assaulting police officers.

Raid at Shaily Hotel Revealed Name of the Russian Woman

According to police sources, the CID Crime received a tip about the presence of the Russian woman, who was to be made a witness and a victim in the case, at Shaily Hotel in Vastrapur. A CID Crime team comprising a police inspector, a male constable, and a female constable went to the hotel for document verification. However, when the officers started talking to the woman, she became agitated and locked herself inside the room.

Assault on Police; Woman Accuses Officer

To get the woman out, her acquaintance was called, but she refused to come out and later came to the lobby shouting and arguing with the police. During the altercation, the woman, wearing a pink dress, accused a police officer in a blue shirt of slapping her and demanded he look at her eye. She also attempted to injure the officers by kicking them. Due to the need for more female officers, Vastrapur Police Station was notified, and additional female forces were deployed to bring the two women to the station. However, they continued causing trouble even at the police station, kicking the driver and creating a scene before being put into the government vehicle.

July 31st Raid Revealed Foreign Women and Liquor

In the raid conducted by CID Crime on July 31, 2024, foreign women were found hidden in spas for illicit activities, and liquor, women, and transgender individuals were found in some hotels. The police registered 22 cases across the state and arrested 42 individuals.

Raid Orders Issued in Sealed Covers

According to CID Crime officials, on the previous day, CID Crime and Railway summoned 35 police inspectors and handed each a sealed cover containing details of different locations, including hotels and spas. The raids revealed startling details about foreign women, liquor parties, and other women being brought in, leading to arrests. Out of the 35 locations, 20 were successfully raided, while 15 yielded no results.
