Holy Sight: Crystal Shivling Found in Fishermen’s Net Draws Crowds for Riverside Darshan

In the village of Kavi, located in the Jambusar taluka of Bharuch district, an astonishing discovery has left locals and fishermen awestruck. A Crystal Shivling, weighing over 100 kilograms and standing at a height of approximately eight feet, was found entangled in the fishing net of fishermen while they were out at sea near the Kavi village coast on Wednesday.

Despite encountering challenges due to its substantial weight, the fishermen carefully maneuvered the Shivling into their boat and brought it ashore. The news of the remarkable discovery spread rapidly, drawing a large crowd of villagers to the banks of the river to catch a glimpse of the rare Crystal Shivling.

Mishap: Fishermen Encounter Shivling Entrapment in Net

In a peculiar incident along the coastal village of Kavi in the Jambusar taluka, fishermen, including Kali Das Vaghela, Mangal Kali Das Fakira, and a dozen others, embarked on a routine fishing trip near the Dhanka Tirth, close to the riverbanks. While hauling their catch, they found themselves in an unexpected predicament as their nets ensnared not only fish but also a Shivling, resembling the iconic symbol of Lord Shiva. This unforeseen event left the fishermen puzzled, prompting speculation about the origins and implications of the entangled Shivling within their fishing net.

Fishermen Seek Assistance to Rescue Shivling Entrapped in Net

Between the numbers of 10 to 12, fishermen, engaged in their maritime endeavors, encountered a peculiar challenge while attending to their nets along the riverbank. Upon discovering a Shivling trapped within their fishing net, their attempts to lift it proved futile due to its considerable weight. Recognizing the need for additional support, the fishermen rallied other boatmen for assistance. Eventually, with the collaborative effort of 10 to 12 individuals, the Shivling was carefully elevated onto a higher boat. Despite the arduous task and the weighty burden, the fishermen successfully transported the Shivling to the shores of Kavi village, overcoming significant challenges along the way.

Discovery of Crystal Shivling and Sacred Artifacts

Upon careful cleaning and inspection, it was revealed that the Shivling found by the riverside was crafted from crystal. After being brought ashore by the fishermen and thoroughly cleaned, the crystal Shivling unveiled intricate details, including a conch, miniature idols, and a silver serpent. News of this remarkable discovery quickly spread throughout the village, stirring immense curiosity among the villagers. As word of the crystal Shivling circulated, villagers gathered in large numbers to catch a glimpse of the sacred artifact. 

Recognizing the significance of their find, the fishermen sought counsel from Vaishali Aahir, a PSI (Police Sub Inspector) stationed in Kavi, to understand the importance and proper handling of the discovered artifacts.

Consideration of Placement in Kamleshwar Mahadev Temple or Other Shiva Temples

During the conversation with PSI Vaishali Aahir, it was discovered that the object found by the fishermen is indeed a Shivling. The entire Shivling appears to be made of stone and has the appearance of a tabletop ornament, resembling a paperweight. It prominently features a silver serpent, which is commonly associated with Lord Shiva. Presently, the villagers are contemplating the installation of this Shivling in Kamleshwar Mahadev Temple or another Shiva temple within the vicinity.
