Ramkaj: Abhishek of Sun Rays to Ramlala on Ram Navami, Darshan Begins Jan 25th

Ayodhya’s Three-Domed Ram Mandir to be Ready in December

The three-domed Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is set to be completed in December. It will be inaugurated in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on any day in January 2024. The final date is yet to be decided and is pending near the Prime Minister’s office.

Special Equipment for the Grandeur of Ram Mandir

Work is ongoing to install specialized equipment on the spire of the temple to make it even more magnificent. Through this equipment, every year on Ram Navami, sunlight will be focused on the idol of Lord Shri Ram in the sanctum sanctorum. Nripendra Mishra, the Chairman of the Ram Janmabhoomi Trust, announced that the equipment for the spire is currently being manufactured in Bangalore. The trust will extend an invitation to Prime Minister Modi for the inauguration ceremony. Following this, the consecration of the idols will take place.

10-Day Program Starting from Makar Sankranti

For the consecration, a 10-day program and consecration process will begin from Makar Sankranti on January 14. Discussions with knowledgeable saints and sages are also set to begin. For this purpose, a committee led by the Trust’s General Secretary, Champat Rai, has been formed, which is working on the arrangements.

Watch the Program on TV, Don’t Come Here: Trust’s Appeal

For the consecration ceremony, arrangements are being made for the first 10,000 devotees who will be allowed entry daily. Devotees will get 15-20 seconds for darshan (viewing). It is expected that there will be an overwhelming crowd when the consecration ceremony is held on January 22 next year. The trust has appealed to people to watch the ceremony on TV from their homes.

Temple Design and Construction

The temple has been designed to last for at least 1,000 years. Wood has not been used in the construction, and instead, copper has been used to join the stone blocks. Copper will also be used in making the temple’s domes.

Temple Premises and Design

The constructed area of the temple is spread over 2.5 acres. If the circumambulation path is included, the total area of the premises is 8 acres.

Sculptures and Artwork

During construction and excavation work, sculptures and artwork were discovered. After receiving clearance from the ASI (Archaeological Survey of India), these sculptures and artworks will be displayed in a museum that is currently being constructed on-site.
