Rahul Gandhi Launches Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra, Warns of Agniveer Scheme Impact on National Security and Soldier Respect
Today marks the third day of Rahul Gandhi’s “Bharat Jodo Yatra” as it enters Gujarat. The journey led by Rahul Gandhi traverses from Narmada district to Bharuch district. In attendance for the yatra are Shaktisinh Gohil from the Gujarat Pradesh Samiti and Amit Chavda, the Pradesh Adhyaksh of Congress. Notable participants include Gopal Italia, the candidate for the Bharuch Lok Sabha seat from Aam Aadmi Party, who joins the justice journey in Netrang.
The streets of Netrang are adorned with large hoardings, creating a festive atmosphere throughout the town. The entire town of Netrang is immersed in the spirit of celebration, with Congress flags fluttering all around. The beats of DJ and the rhythm of dhol nagara resonate as people enthusiastically participate in the procession.
Issues Highlighted in Rahul Gandhi’s Speech at Netrang
During his speech in Netrang, Rahul Gandhi raised pertinent issues, drawing attention to the diverse challenges faced by different sections of society. He started by metaphorically tracing Prime Minister Modi’s journey from the seas to the Himalayas, highlighting the emergence of voices in between, echoing sentiments of both hatred and love, akin to opening stores of hatred and affection in the market.
Reflecting on the significance of his journey, Gandhi noted the absence of significant crowds from Gujarat in his previous rallies, prompting him to ask, “Why didn’t Gujarat come?” He emphasized his willingness to engage in dialogue and expressed his presence alongside the people of Gujarat.
During an interaction with a young man from the audience, Gandhi delved into the plight of the Adivasi community in the country. When asked about their population percentage, the youth responded with “30 percent.” However, Gandhi corrected him, stating that the Adivasi population constitutes 8 percent of India’s total population. He underscored the importance of acknowledging and addressing the challenges faced by marginalized communities, emphasizing the need for greater awareness and understanding.
Through such engagements, Gandhi highlighted the need to confront issues affecting marginalized communities and foster greater inclusivity and understanding in Indian society.
Equity and Governance: Questions Raised by an Ambulance on the Road
The arrival of an ambulance prompts reflections on the broader issues of equity and governance in India. It questions who controls the nation’s wealth, pointing to the largest corporations that manage the country’s finances. Amidst media discourse, questions arise about the representation of Adivasis and Dalits in various sectors such as corporate entities and hospitals. The narrative challenges the idea of partnership and questions where true partnership lies.
Highlighting a stark disparity, the discussion moves to the allocation of resources within the Indian government. While 90 individuals drive the nation’s decisions, it’s revealed that only one Adivasi is included, further emphasizing the marginalization of indigenous communities. The conversation extends to budgetary allocations, where it’s revealed that for every 100 rupees spent by the government, only 10 paisa goes to an Adivasi officer, illustrating a significant imbalance.
Lastly, the discussion touches upon land acquisition practices, urging for a fair and transparent process. It emphasizes the need to prioritize the interests of marginalized communities, suggesting a shift from exploitative practices to equitable ones. The ambulance becomes a metaphorical vessel for these crucial questions, prompting introspection and a call for systemic change.
Addressing Marginalization and Advocating for Rights
Rahul Gandhi initiates the dialogue by questioning the essence of development and prompts the audience to contemplate its beneficiaries. He sheds light on the perspectives of the Adivasi community, emphasizing their inherent connection to the land and forests as their rightful owners. He critiques the BJP’s stance on Adivasi rights, challenging their assertion that Adivasis are not true “forest dwellers,” highlighting the Congress’s efforts through acts like the PESA Act, Land Acquisition Bill, and Tribal Act.
Gandhi assures the Adivasi audience that their rights will be safeguarded under Congress governance, promising to reinstate the Forest Act for their benefit. He underscores the significance of partnership, pointing out the lack of representation of the common people among the 90 individuals in power. He empathizes with the struggles of the impoverished and promises redressal, emphasizing the importance of accurate caste and demographic surveys.
Furthermore, the discourse touches upon economic disparities and financial manipulations, particularly in Gujarat, where 30 contractors, labeled as ‘AA class,’ allegedly benefit from GST funds, disadvantaging the Adivasi population.
Overall, the speech calls for greater inclusivity, equitable distribution of resources, and genuine representation of marginalized communities in decision-making processes, underscoring the need for systemic reforms to address deep-rooted socio-economic disparities.
Rahul Gandhi’s Critique of BJP’s Development Narrative
During the rally in Netrang, Rahul Gandhi highlighted the disparity between the BJP’s claims of development and the ground reality. He pointed out that while the BJP boasts of progress, it’s actually the industrial giants like Adani and Ambani who are prospering, not the common people. Rahul Gandhi emphasized that Adivasis are the original inhabitants of Hindustan’s land, yet the BJP refuses to acknowledge them as Adivasis, labeling them as ‘vanvasis’ because they don’t demand their rights.
He stressed that while mistakes by corporate entities like Adani might be forgiven, Adivasis are denied their rights, and the BJP doesn’t apologize to farmers or Adivasis. Rahul Gandhi assured that the Congress will ensure that all your rights over land and water are granted.
Furthermore, Rahul Gandhi asserted that the BJP is stealing from the people’s share under the guise of development, while some individuals call it progress. In the 70 years of independence, the BJP has failed to uplift Adivasis. Instead, they keep Adivasis and Dalits marginalized and in the dark.
Engagement and Unity in Bharuch: A Glimpse from the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra
The atmosphere in Bharuch district is charged with anticipation as the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra makes its way from Movie village to Bharuch district. During this journey, Chetan Vasava, the Aam Aadmi Party candidate for Bharuch Lok Sabha constituency, joined hands with the common man, adding vigor to the event.
Addressing the people in Netrang, supporters of both the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party have gathered. Rahul Gandhi’s presence has brought joy and enthusiasm among the local Adivasi community. Sher Khan Pathan, the former president of the Bharuch district Youth Congress, provided comprehensive details about the program, engaging with locals and party supporters alike.
BJP’s Defeat Marks the Beginning: Gopal Italia
Gopal Italia, a prominent figure from the Aam Aadmi Party, commented on the BJP’s recent setback, stating that Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra will have a significant impact on election results. He noted that the denial of a ticket to Manasukh Vasava, whose hopes were dashed despite his long-standing dedication, signals a turning point for the BJP.
Posters featuring Vasava were removed, indicating his exclusion from BJP’s candidate list for the seventh term. This incident, according to Italia, marks the commencement of BJP’s decline.

Rahul Gandhi’s Critique on Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha Ceremony
Following his entry into Gujarat during the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, Rahul Gandhi addressed a public gathering in Jhalod. During his speech, he targeted the central government’s efforts regarding the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony. Rahul Gandhi questioned the audience, asking if they had watched the ceremony on television.
He highlighted the absence of representation of farmers, laborers, Dalits, and Adivasis at the event, suggesting that only members of the RSS were present. He emphasized that while industrialists, celebrities, and cricketers might attend such events, marginalized communities remain neglected.
Demand for Caste-Based Census
During his address to the gathering in Jhalod, Rahul Gandhi reiterated the call for a caste-based census in the country. He emphasized the need for conducting a census based on caste, stating that it would allow every citizen of the country to understand the distribution of wealth, the representation in various institutions, and the level of participation in the budget.
He highlighted that such a census would bring attention to the Dalits, ensuring that their participation and representation are accurately measured and addressed in various sectors of society.
Attempt to Surround the Government
Gautam Adani is a prominent industrialist in the country. From airports to ports, mining to power generation, solar power to wind power, wherever you look, you’ll find one individual, Gautam Adani. Wherever you go in Himachal Pradesh, you’ll encounter the same person. If we go to speak, it will take two to three hours. Two to three percent of the people are trying to capture all the wealth of the country.
Night Halt Arranged in Jambughoda
On the second day, Rahul Gandhi arrived in Jambughoda of Panchmahal district, where he was warmly welcomed by Congress workers. Rahul Gandhi sat in an open jeep and greeted the people. Prior to reaching Bodeli in Chhota Udepur district, arrangements were made for a night halt in the village of Khandiava in Jambughoda.
Injustice Prevails with the Poor in India
Rahul Gandhi addressed the gathering in Halol, expressing that injustice prevails with the poor in India. He emphasized that whoever is poor in India faces injustice. On one side, there are people like Adani, while on the other side, 90% of India’s population comprises the poor. The wealth of the nation is controlled by the hands of 4-5 individuals. There are 200 companies owned by India’s billionaires that control the country’s wealth.
How many of these 200 individuals are common or poor people? None. In senior management positions at Adani, there are no tribals, Dalits, or poor individuals. 70% of the people work hard to build the nation, but they are not included when it comes to distributing wealth or providing employment opportunities. Narendra Modi gave the money for 24 years of MGNREGA to 50-60 individuals. The budget of India is managed by 90 individuals.
