Prostitution Racket Uncovered at The Ozone Spa on Sindhu Bhavan Road: 8 Partitioned Rooms, Spa Owner Arrested, ₹1500 Charged Per Customer

Prostitution activities are increasing day by day under the guise of spas in Ahmedabad. A recent raid by the LCB Zone 7 squad team, using a dummy customer, uncovered such activities at The Ozone Spa located on Sindhu Bhavan Road, a posh area of the city. 

The police have arrested three women and several customers from the spa. The spa’s owner and manager were reportedly offering memberships, and the women were paid ₹1500 per customer. The police are currently working on apprehending the spa owner.

8 Partitioned Rooms Found in Spa During Raid in Ahmedabad

According to the information received, PSI Y.T. Jadeja of LCB Zone 7 received a tip-off that prostitution activities were taking place at The Ozone Spa located in Silver Radium Complex on Sindhu Bhavan Road. Based on this information, a dummy customer was sent to the spa by the LCB team. The dummy was briefed to report any suspicious activities related to prostitution. 

Upon receiving the tip from the dummy customer, the team conducted a raid at the spa. During the raid, the spa’s manager, Kailash Bharti (resident of Vatva), and a customer were found sitting outside on a sofa. Upon further investigation, the police discovered that the spa had created eight partitioned rooms, presumably for prostitution activities.

Spa Owner Avoids Police Call During Raid; Three Women and Customers Arrested

During the raid at The Ozone Spa, the police found three women from Nagaland and Delhi in three separate rooms. They also found three customers present. Upon interrogation, the customers revealed that the spa owners, Ayan Mubarakbhai Rangrej and Mohsin Mubarakbhai Rangrej, were running the establishment. 

The owners reportedly visited the spa from 12 PM to 8:30 PM every day and charged ₹1500 per customer, paying the women after the evening’s transactions. When the police tried to contact the owners by phone and asked them to come to the spa, the owners refused to answer the calls.

Police Raid Uncovers Lack of Rent Agreement; Investigation Launched

Despite requesting the rent agreement, the police were unable to obtain it for The Ozone Spa. As a result, they conducted a raid at the spa and arrested three women, customers, and the spa’s manager. 

The police have registered a case against the spa’s manager, Kailash Bharti, as well as the owners, Ayan Rangrej and Mahboob Rangrej. An investigation has been initiated into the matter.
