Kerala Agricultural Expert Dies During Live Show

A tragic incident occurred during a live show on Kerala’s Doordarshan channel where agricultural expert, Dr. S. Das (59 years old), passed away. The incident took place on Friday, January 12. The video of his sudden demise has gone viral on social media.

Dr. Das was participating in a live program on agricultural insights around 6:30 PM. While responding to a question from the anchor, he suddenly fell silent and collapsed backward. The anchor then announced an abrupt end to the broadcast.

With the assistance of the channel staff, Dr. Das was rushed to the hospital, but the doctors declared him dead. The cause of his death is yet to be determined, and there is no information available about any serious illness he might have been suffering from.

Dr. S. Das was a Professor at Kerala Agricultural University and had served as the Managing Director of Kerala Livestock Development Board (KLDB). Later, he became the Executive Director of the Center for Communication and Agribusiness at Kerala Agricultural University. He was actively involved in various agricultural programs on Doordarshan and had also served as a Professor at the university’s Communication Center.

This sudden loss has left the agricultural community and viewers in shock, and condolences have been pouring in for Dr. S. Das and his family.
