Petrol Pump Assault: Mob Violence Erupts Over Horn Honking Dispute
At the sprawling premises of Gorwa Police Station, a petrol pump attendant asked, “What’s the horn for? Just look around, I’m filling petrol in my car.” Saying this to an activator, several individuals attacked him. With the help of CCTV footage, Gorwa Police swiftly took action against 9 assailants who had assaulted the activator and brought them to justice.
Biker Assaults a Youth
This incident occurred on Friday night around 11:00 PM. While the petrol pump attendant was busy filling petrol, an unknown person repeatedly honked the horn of his bike from behind. When asked about it, the unknown person aggressively approached the activator, questioning why he was filling petrol in his car. Without hesitation, he assaulted the activator and called his friends to join in.
Altercation Leads to Broken Nose
During the altercation, the unknown person threatened to harm the youth and his friends over the phone, indicating violence. This escalated into a physical fight where the activator and his friends retaliated, resulting in injuries. Later, a complaint was lodged at Gorwa Police Station regarding the incident.
Swift Action Against the Assailants
In response to the entire incident, Gorwa Police formed separate teams with staff from PSI, along with CCTV and human resources. Swift action was taken against the 9 accused based on the evidence, and legal proceedings were initiated against them.
