PCB Chairman Leaks Chat: Controversial Conversation Revealed Between Babar Azam and Salman Naseer

The road to the semi-finals of the World Cup for Pakistan seems almost closed. After a series of poor performances, Pakistan is currently ranked sixth with just 4 points in 6 matches. In the midst of this, a chat allegedly involving Pakistan’s captain, Babar Azam, was leaked by PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) Chairman Zak Ashraf.

The leaked chat seems to indicate that former cricketer Rashid Latif recently attempted to contact Babar Azam, but there’s no record of Babar ever responding to Rashid’s calls or messages. Rashid had previously made claims that Babar Azam had tried to reach out to him.

In response to these claims, the PCB Chairman, Zak Ashraf, stated in an interview with a local news channel that Babar Azam has never contacted him. Babar Azam typically communicates with the International Cricket Director or Chief Operating Officer, and the chat shared between Babar and PCB Chief Operating Officer, Salman Naseer, was about cricket-related matters.

In this chat, Salman Naseer asked Babar Azam about the rumors circulating on TV and social media that they have been calling the PCB Chairman and not receiving a response. In response, Babar stated, “Salam Salman Bhai, I haven’t called anyone.”

This was in reference to the live on-air broadcast of Babar’s chats during a TV show where former Pakistani cricketer Azhar Ali shared messages indicating that Babar was in agreement with the broadcast. Babar’s response in the chat suggests that he did not make any such calls.
