Nitin Gadkari faints during speech, escorted off stage
Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways and a senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), collapsed during a rally for Lok Sabha elections in Yavatmal, Maharashtra, on Wednesday. According to sources and visuals, Gadkari was delivering a speech on the stage when he suddenly felt dizzy and fell down. However, his condition was reported to be stable, and he recovered shortly afterward. He also addressed the gathering from the stage after the incident.
Nitin Gadkari Faints on Stage, Rushed Away
After reaching the stage to deliver his speech, Nitin Gadkari fainted along with his bodyguard. Subsequently, party workers present there wiped water off his face and took him away from the stage. He was then given medical assistance. Voting for the Lok Sabha elections in Yavatmal will take place on April 26 (Friday). Besides Yavatmal, voters in Buldhana, Akola, Amravati, Wardha, Hingoli, Nanded, and Parbhani will also exercise their voting rights.
