Raniba Surrenders: 3 Accused Face Police in Dalit Youth Assault Case, 1 Still Absconding

In a case of assault and atrocity in Morbi’s Ravapar Chowkdi, five accused had applied for bail, which the court later rejected. Subsequently, the police apprehended one of the accused swiftly after the court’s decision. More than three accused, including the main suspect, are currently present before the police in connection with this case. The search for another accused is currently underway.

12 Charges Noted Against 5 Accused, Including Main Suspect in Morbi’s Pay Dispute Assault

The police recorded 12 charges, including assault, against 5 accused involved in the case of assaulting a Dalit youth demanding wages in Morbi’s Ravapar Chowkdi. The accused, including Vibhuti Patel alias Raniba, Om Patel, Raj Patel, Parikshit Patel, and D.D. Rabari, had their bail applications rejected by the court. Meanwhile, the police initiated an investigation to apprehend a fugitive accused, and D.D. Rabari was swiftly arrested yesterday.

Search Operation for Fugitive Accused Commences

As of today, the primary accused Raniba alias Vibhuti Patel, along with two other accused, Om Patel and Raj Patel, are present before the police. The police have taken action against Parikshit Patel and other accused as well.

Vibhuti Patel uploaded a video on her Instagram account, raniba_07, on 3/9/2022, where she celebrated her birthday by cutting multiple cakes with a sword on separate tables in a public place. The police took cognizance of this video and initiated legal action against Vibhuti based on this complaint.
