Afterward, PM Modi addressed the Indian diaspora, stating that they have been prominently featured in Indian media over the past week. He mentioned that this is the first time in 45 years that an Indian Prime Minister has visited Poland, adding that he is fortunate to be able to accomplish some meaningful tasks.
PM Modi noted that no Indian Prime Minister had visited Poland for such a long period before him. He remarked that previous governments maintained a policy of distance, whereas his government believes in fostering close relations with all countries.
The Prime Minister also mentioned Jam Saheb of Jamnagar. He shared that he recently met the current Jam Saheb, who still has a picture of Poland in his room. In Poland, Jam Saheb is remembered as a noble king. During World War II, when Poland was facing severe difficulties, Jam Saheb Digvijaysinhji extended help to the people of Poland.
