Massive Fire Engulfs Joy E-Bike Company in Vadodara: 10 Vehicles Burned, 3 Sheds Destroyed
A severe fire broke out at the Joy E-Bike manufacturing company located on Ajwa Road near Vadodara city during midnight. Upon receiving the fire call, ten vehicles from five fire stations rushed to the scene. Before the fire could be brought under control, raw materials stored in three sheds caught fire, causing massive flames and smoke. The preliminary investigation suggests that the fire broke out due to overheating in the dry batteries at the company.
The fire department received a call about the fire at the Joy E-Bike manufacturing company located on Ajwa Road near Sigma College Road at midnight. The primary suspicion of the fire brigade is that the fire broke out due to overheating in the dry batteries. Meanwhile, the production in-charge of the company informed that the fire broke out in the scrap material stored in three sheds of the compound.
Previously, this same company had faced IT raids.
Upon receiving the fire call, 10 vehicles from the Panigate, Dandiya Bazaar, E-Rickshaw, GIDC, and Chhani TP-13 fire stations rushed to the scene. Firefighters battled the blaze for 5 hours before gaining control over it. The fire took on a fierce form due to the presence of a large amount of plastic material in the company. Fortunately, there were no major casualties, but the scrap material suffered significant damage. It is noteworthy that earlier in February, this company and its owner’s residences were raided by the IT department.

Regarding the fire incident, Alokbhai, from the company’s production department, mentioned that the fire broke out around 11 PM, and they immediately informed the fire department. The fire originated from the scrap material present in front of the company. This material, which was not intended for use by the company, was being stored there. Three sheds had been constructed for this purpose, and the fire unexpectedly broke out there. All the material was severely damaged, but fortunately, there were no casualties.
