Mahant Dilipadasji Named Gujarat President of Akhil Bharatiya Sant Samiti
There’s been a lot of talk about the murals beneath the big Hanumanji statue in Salangpur, and because of this, Nautam Swamy was removed as the Gujarat President of Akhil Bharatiya Sant Samiti. Now, Mahant Dilipadasji from the Ahmedabad Jagannath Temple has been chosen as the new state president. This decision was made during a meeting that included many saints.
In this meeting, various saints were present, including Mohandasji Maharaj, Akhileshwar Dasji, Anand Rajedragiri, Chaitanya Shambhu Maharaj, Rajchandra Dasji of Bhavnagar, and Rammanohar Dasji, Sunil Dasji, Damodardasji.
In the midst of the Salangpur controversy, Mahant Dilipadasji Maharaj has been appointed as the Gujarat President of Akhil Bharatiya Sant Samiti. Previously, Nautam Swami held this position but was removed after a meeting in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
Controversial Statement Made by Nautam Swami
After the Salangpur controversy, Saint Nautam Swami of Vadtal made a statement during the Satsang Mahasamelana in Khambhat. He mentioned that Hanumanji Maharaj is the clan deity of Lord Swaminarayan and that there are many incarnations of Gods like Lord Ramachandraji, Shri Krishna Narayan, and Swaminarayan. He also emphasized that Shri Hanumanji Maharaj has served Lord Swaminarayan multiple times, as documented in the history of the Swaminarayan sect. He advised those with personal queries to seek the appropriate forum and mentioned that some individuals had taken the matter to court, which requires a proper response. He concluded by stating that ordinary people, regardless of their status, do not need any religious leader to intervene.
Swaminarayan Sect’s Significant Contributions to Gujarat
He further clarified that the Swaminarayan Sampradaya never has any intention to insult any God or incarnations of God, and such intentions are impossible. Hanumanji and Vighna Vinayak are revered in thousands of temples of the sect. He emphasized that Swaminarayan himself is considered God, and any attempts to interpret otherwise are incomprehensible. Additionally, he expressed that the land of Gujarat owes much to Lord Swaminarayan, citing the significant rituals, satsangi life, and teachings present in Swaminarayan Bhagwan temples, which serve as landmarks and have contributed significantly to Gujarat.
