12-Year-Old Boy Brutally Murdered in Kutch Over Mobile Game Dispute; Three Friends Under Suspicion

Kutch was left in shock after a 12-year-old boy was brutally murdered in Bela village of Rapar taluka, allegedly over a dispute related to a mobile game. According to police sources, the boy’s body was discovered on Tuesday afternoon near the garden of Bileshwar Mahadev Temple. The family members and Balasar police were immediately informed, following which they rushed to the scene. Initial investigations have placed three of the victim’s friends under suspicion.

The deceased, identified as 13-year-old Pravin Nameri Rathod from the Aliyaji locality in Bela village, was found lying in a pool of blood with severe injuries inflicted by a sharp weapon. His body was shifted to Rapar Government Hospital for further examination. The victim’s brother lodged a complaint with Balasar police, who have since initiated a post-mortem and filed an official report.

Police officials were left stunned by the sheer brutality of the attack. The assailants inflicted multiple deep wounds on the boy’s throat, palms, and abdomen using a sharp weapon. The reason behind such a gruesome attack remains unclear, but authorities are actively investigating the case. Sources suggest that three young suspects, one of whom is reportedly related to the victim, have been detained for questioning.

Online Game Dispute Suspected as Motive

According to the victim’s brother, the boy was a sixth-grade student who had accompanied his family to the fields in the morning. After having lunch at home, he went to play a mobile game with his friends near Bileshwar Mahadev Temple. It is suspected that a dispute arose during the game, leading to the fatal attack.

Upon learning about the incident, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) of Bhachau rushed to the crime scene. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to uncover the exact motive behind this shocking crime.
