Mandatory Registration on Karmyogi App for Salary: Details and Helpline Number

All employees and officers working in the Secretariat and its subordinate offices are required to record their work through the Karmyogi application. Developed as part of the Human Resource Management System, the Karmyogi app aims to streamline work reporting. Periodic instructions have been issued to ensure that all employees and officers register and use the app. In a recent resolution passed by the General Administration Department at the end of July, it was decided that employees failing to register on the app will have their salary withheld.

User Registration to Be Completed Through Admin Login

As per the resolution, each approved employee position must be created in the Karmyogi application. Once the office gains admin rights, the user registration must be completed through the admin login of the respective office. If this is not done, the salary of the office head for September will be withheld. Furthermore, the office head will need to submit a certificate along with the salary bill, confirming the registration of all employees on the Karmyogi application. Only after verification of this certificate by the treasury officer will the salary bill be processed, as mentioned in the circular.

Launch of Karmyogi Application 2.0 in March

In March, the government launched Karmyogi Application 2.0 to further enhance online operations. Modules like leave, LTC (Leave Travel Concession), annual performance appraisal reports, employee registration, and service books were planned to be included. Currently, performance appraisal reports for the past three years have been transferred to Karmyogi from the previous Saathi application.

Helpline for Assistance

After the successful testing of the leave and LTC modules in the first phase of the pilot project, all officers and employees of the Secretariat were integrated into Karmyogi 2.0. Since March 22, applications for leave, LTC, and annual performance reports must be submitted via Karmyogi 2.0, as directed by GAD. The upcoming phases will include more data integration. The Karmyogi app can be accessed at www.karmyogi.gujarat.gov.in. For assistance, employees can contact the helpline at 079-232 58576/77, 079-232 55823/25, or email at karmyogi-support@gujarat.gov.in.
