IT Raids Target Orbital Group & Ladani Associates: Over 150 Officers Conduct Operations Across Multiple Locations in Rajkot
With March ending approaching, the financial year’s last major search operation has been initiated. The Revenue Department’s Mega Search Operation is underway on Rajkot’s Touchstone Builders’ Lobby. Vinay Patel from Orbite Group and renowned builder Dilip Ladani, along with their associated partners, are facing intense scrutiny due to discrepancies in their income records. The Rajkot Investigation Wing, comprising a total of around 150 officials, is conducting simultaneous searches on various projects of Orbite Group and Ladani Associates. Notably, even renowned jewelers in Rajkot were involved in massive tax evasion before Diwali, and after the recent search operation, instances of undisclosed transactions have surfaced.
Operation Commences from Early Morning
Under the leadership of Rajkot Revenue Department’s Investigation Wing Commissioner Droupasinh Meena, nearly 15 locations in Rajkot have been under thorough scrutiny since early morning today. Information suggests that officials from Gujarat and even beyond have been summoned for assistance in the operation. The team, including Dilip Ladani and Vinay Patel along with their associates, was first sent to Ahmedabad yesterday and then to Rajkot early today for the ongoing operation.
Several Individuals Appear on Income Tax Radar
According to sources, the team conducting the search operation today is scrutinizing various projects of Orbite Group, including Orbit Tower and Orbit Royal Garden. People associated with these projects, such as Mayur Radadiya, Danubha Jadeja (Domda), and financier Mahipatsinh Chudasama, have also come under the radar of income tax authorities. More than 15 locations, including project offices and builders’ residences, are witnessing active operations.
Tense Atmosphere in Real Estate
Today, the Revenue Department’s Investigation Wing, led by Officer Adarsh Tiwari, is overseeing the entire operation. Teams from Rajkot, Junagadh, Jamnagar, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, and Surat are involved. It’s worth mentioning that the Revenue Department had previously conducted a search operation involving Ladani Group in September 2018.
