Drone Attack on Israeli PM Netanyahu’s Home: Hezbollah Strikes from Lebanon, Successfully Breaching Air Defense

On Saturday, Hezbollah carried out a drone attack on the home of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. According to the Times of Israel, the Israeli Prime Minister’s office confirmed the incident. The PMO stated that at the time of the attack, PM Netanyahu and his wife, Sara, were not at home. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported from the incident.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that three drones were launched from Lebanon into Israel on Saturday. One of the drones crashed into a house in the city of Caesarea, which is the ancestral home of Prime Minister Netanyahu.

According to the IDF, two more drones were launched from Lebanon, both of which were intercepted. This triggered alarms at the Gilot military base. The IDF further mentioned that they are investigating the drone infiltration.

Hezbollah Intensifies Attacks on Israel

According to the Times of Israel, since Saturday morning, drone and rocket attacks have been launched from Lebanon targeting Tiberias and surrounding areas in Israel. Many rockets were reported to have landed in the Galilee Sea, resulting in no injuries. Sirens warning of drone attacks were also heard in Tel Aviv and the northern parts of the city.

This marks the first statement from Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei following the death of Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar in the recent attacks. As reported by the Times of Israel, Khamenei stated that despite Yahya Sinwar’s death, Hamas has not been defeated.

Khamenei Remembers Sinwar: Hamas Will Continue Its Struggle

On Saturday, several posts related to Yahya Sinwar’s death were made on Khamenei’s social media account. It stated, “Sinwar has joined his martyr friends. His farewell is heartbreaking for us. 

However, just as Hamas continued its work after the martyrdom of Ahmad Yassin, Abdel Aziz Rantisi, and Ismail Haniyeh, it will not cease after Sinwar’s death.” Khamenei emphasized that Iran will continue to stand by the Palestinian mujahideen and fighters as always.

Iranian Foreign Minister Calls Sinwar a Martyr

Earlier, on Friday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi referred to Yahya Sinwar as a martyr. Araghchi stated on social media that Sinwar sacrificed his life fighting for his land. He never feared death and fought bravely until the end, displaying courage even in his final moments.
