A helicopter crash occurred in Pune, Maharashtra, on Wednesday, resulting in the deaths of three individuals. The victims included two pilots and an engineer. The incident took place between 6:30 and 7:00 AM near the KK Construction Hill area in Bavdhan.
Helicopter Crashes Shortly After Takeoff Near Oxford Golf Course
According to the police, the helicopter took off from a helipad near the Oxford Golf Course. About 10 minutes after takeoff, it crashed 1.5 km away. The crash occurred in a hilly region, where dense fog blanketed the area in the morning.
Helicopter Catches Fire After Crash, Three Severely Burned
After the crash, the helicopter caught fire, severely burning all three individuals on board. It is still unclear whether the helicopter was government-owned or private, and the identities of the deceased have yet to be confirmed. Pimpri-Chinchwad police, along with the fire brigade and medical teams, have reached the crash site.

This is the second helicopter crash in Pune within 40 days. Earlier, on August 24, a helicopter crashed in the Paud area of Pune. The helicopter was en route from Mumbai to Hyderabad and had one pilot and three passengers on board. In that accident, the pilot was injured, while the other three passengers also sustained injuries.
