Furthermore, he warned those engaging in rowdy behavior, stating that if any thug harasses the common citizens of the state, they will face severe consequences. 

Within 48 hours of Harsh Sanghvi’s statement, the police in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, and Rajkot dealt with troublemakers in their own language. In all three cities, the police took the accused to their respective areas and addressed the situation accordingly.

Recently, in Saraspur, Ahmedabad, some miscreants created chaos by vandalizing near the Mitha Panna Darwaja in Pandit Nagar. During the commotion, the affected people also reached the police station. The miscreants were trying to establish their dominance by creating fear, which escalated the situation to higher police authorities. Following this, instructions were given to locate the offenders and ensure they are taught a lesson in accordance with the law.

In the Pandit Nagar incident, a crowd had gathered at night, and the entire event was captured in a viral video. Based on the footage, the police identified and arrested the culprits. The police then took the offenders to their own area to make them realize the consequences of their actions and reinforce the importance of the law.

In Rajkot city, there has been a rise in the terror caused by antisocial elements in recent times. Just yesterday, an incident occurred in the A Division Police Station area on Khatriwad Haveli Road, where a rickshaw driver engaged in a heated argument with 42-year-old Dipankar Bengali over a minor issue of overtaking. During the altercation, the rickshaw driver attacked Dipankar with a knife.

Following the incident, Dipankar Bengali lodged a complaint at the A Division Police Station under sections 118(2), 115(2), and 352 of the Indian Penal Code. Based on the rickshaw number and CCTV footage, the police apprehended the accused, identified as Saqir Khan Pathan, within hours and initiated legal proceedings.

After the arrest, the police took Saqir Khan Pathan to the crime scene for a reconstruction of the incident. Statements were taken about the route he took, the locations involved, and the manner in which the attack was carried out. The police attempted to explain the consequences of his actions to the accused in his own language.

In Vadodara city, the police paraded an accused involved in an attempted murder in public, to make him aware of the consequences of his actions. Previously, the state’s Home Minister, Harsh Sanghvi, had warned antisocial elements, stating that those who abide by the law will benefit. Acting on this, the Vadodara City Police conducted a public parade of the accused from Yakutpura, which falls under the City Police Station jurisdiction.

The accused, involved in an attempted murder case, was also part of a reconstruction, and the parade served as a way to make him realize the seriousness of his crime.

Two days ago, in Gandhinagar, a program titled “Tera Tujhko Arpan” was held in the presence of Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi and state police chief Vikas Sahay. During this event, Harsh Sanghvi praised the work of the police and emphasized that police officers should use the fines they impose wisely. He stated that a police officer should be able to communicate with criminals in the language they understand.

He also addressed the issue of public concerns about parades, stating that the Gujarat Police has decided that if any thug harasses the state’s common citizens, they will face a public parade. He further mentioned that while many criminals may be quick to run away, if they cross paths with the police, they will face the consequences. He concluded by stating that maintaining peace, safety, and security for the state’s citizens is the police’s responsibility.
