Who is Mike Hankey?
Mike Hankey is a diplomat who has been serving as the Consul General at the U.S. Consulate General in Mumbai since August 8, 2022. Prior to his current role, he held the position of Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Amman. In this capacity, he played a significant role in diplomatic affairs and contributed to the overall mission of the embassy.
Hankey has a wealth of experience in the Middle East, having headed the Palestinian Affairs Unit at the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem since its establishment in early 2019. In this role, he served as the lead for U.S. relations with the Palestinians, showcasing his expertise in navigating complex diplomatic relationships in the region.
Before his assignment in Jerusalem, Mike Hankey served as Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Consulate General in Jerusalem, further demonstrating his commitment to diplomatic service in the Middle East.
