Tough Questions on Irregularities in the Education Department
At the 75th district-level Forest Festival held in Pooniyavant, Chhota Udaipur, Education Minister Kuber Dindor was present. After the event, during a conversation with the media, he was asked tough questions about the ongoing irregularities in the education department. The media inquired about issues such as the principal of Shivpura in Kapadvanj Taluka being absent while another teacher fills in, and a teacher from Banaskantha residing abroad while still drawing a salary in India.
Absentee Teachers Will Be Held Accountable
In response, Education Minister Kuber Dindor stated that one such case had come to their attention. He mentioned that a campaign would be initiated, collecting reports from over 32,000 schools on this matter. He acknowledged that the issue of teachers being absent while still employed is serious, but he emphasized that those who support such practices by marking fraudulent attendance are even more responsible. The minister assured that strict action would be taken not only against the absentee teachers but also against those who enable such behavior.
Campaign to Collect Reports from Over 32,000 Schools Across Gujarat
The Education Minister further stated that upon learning about this issue, he has requested a report. In the coming days, a statewide campaign will be launched to address this matter. Teachers who are employed but reside abroad or are otherwise absent and irregular will face legal action, and they will be dismissed from their positions.
Teacher from Pancha Primary School in Danta Settles Abroad
Recently, a shocking case emerged from the Gujarat education department. Bhavnaben, a teacher at Pancha Primary School in Banaskantha district, has reportedly settled abroad but is still listed as employed at the school. This incident has raised serious questions about the education department. The in-charge principal of the school has submitted a written complaint to the Education Minister and the District Education Officer. The Health Minister, who was present at the World Tribal Day program, also responded to the matter.
Similar Incidents Reported in Kadi
Two similar cases have been reported in Kadi Taluka. Kavita Das, a renowned artist and teacher at Ranchodpura Primary School, has been traveling to the United States for the past year. Similarly, Ashaben Patel, a teacher at a primary school in Budasan village, has also been traveling abroad for the past year.
