Explosions Cause Evacuation as Massive Fire Erupts at Ahmedabad EV Showroom; Batteries Explode, Shattering Glass, and Emitting Smoke

A fire broke out at an electric vehicle showroom located in the Abhishek-3 Estate of the Asarwa area in Ahmedabad city. As the fire started, batteries began to explode with loud bangs, causing glass to shatter. 

This created panic among the people in nearby shops. Upon receiving information, three fire brigade teams were immediately dispatched to the scene. The fire brigade teams used water jets to bring the fire under control. 

It is initially reported that the fire started in the electric batteries for some unknown reason. No casualties have been reported in the incident, but the showroom has suffered significant damage due to the fire.

Batteries Explode as Fire Breaks Out in Showroom

According to information from the fire brigade, around 1:00 PM today (August 2), the fire brigade control room received a message that a fire had broken out in a battery showroom located in Abhishek Estate 3, Asarwa area. 

Consequently, three fire brigade vehicles were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, the fire brigade team observed that the fire had spread throughout the showroom and smoke was billowing out. Crowds of people had gathered around the area. The fire brigade team used water jets to bring the fire under control.

Nearby Shops Evacuated Immediately

According to local sources, the showroom in question deals in electric vehicles and supplies electric scooters. A fire broke out in the batteries or an electric vehicle within the showroom, causing the fire to spread further. 

The batteries in the showroom started exploding with loud bangs. Consequently, the nearby shops were evacuated immediately. The fire brigade team arrived promptly and managed to bring the fire under control.
