Father Slaps Student Five Times: CCTV Footage of Jetpur’s St. Francis School in Rajkot Goes Viral, Education Department Orders Probe

A video of a student being slapped by a father at St. Francis School in Jetpur, Rajkot, has gone viral on social media. Following the incident, the District Education Officer of Rajkot has ordered an investigation. The video shows the father slapping the student five times in the school lobby for an unknown reason.

Incident at St. Francis School in Jetpur: Father Caught on CCTV Slapping Student

As per reports, a CCTV recording from the grant-aided St. Francis School in Jetpur, Rajkot, has revealed a shocking incident where a father from the same school was seen slapping a student. 

The footage shows that after school hours began, while students were heading to their respective classes, the father attacked a student in the lobby and slapped him 5 to 6 times. This incident caused other students and teachers nearby to gather at the scene. However, the reason behind the slapping is still unknown.

DEO Orders Investigation into Incident at St. Francis School

Rajkot’s in-charge District Education Officer (DEO), Kiritsinh Parmar, addressed the incident, stating that he became aware of the CCTV footage showing a father slapping a student at St. Francis Grant-aided School in Jetpur through media reports. Following this, the Education Inspector has been assigned to investigate the matter.

According to preliminary information, the incident occurred a week ago, on January 16. Details about the student, including their identity, grade, and the reason for the father’s actions, will only be clear after the investigation. Despite the severity of the incident, no formal complaint has been received from the parents even a week later.
