Empowering Girls: Ladli Bahna Yojana 2.0 Unveiled in MP

Ladli Bahna Yojana: Under the announcement, women aged 21 to 23 years and between 30 years who own tractors are now eligible. Previously, these women were considered ineligible.

MP Ladli Bahna Yojana 2.0: The forms for Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna 2.0 are being filled from Tuesday, 25th July. The Indore district administration has completed preparations to accept applications and has initiated the form filling process. Applications are being accepted at the zone offices of the municipal corporation in Indore city, while in rural areas, they are being collected at the village panchayats.

During the announcement of the second installment of Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched the Ladli Bahna Abhiyan 2.0 in Indore on 10th July 2023. The scheme now extends its benefits to married women aged 21 to 23 and those between 21 to 30 years who own tractors, who were previously ineligible but now qualify for the initiative.

Eligibility for Ladli Behna Yojana 2.0 New Registration:

  1. Only permanent residents of Madhya Pradesh state can register for the Ladli Behna Yojana.
  2. The age of each applicant must fall between 21 and 60 years.
  3. Women from lower and middle-income families are eligible for registration.
  4. The annual income of any applicant should not exceed 2.5 lakh rupees.
  5. Each applicant’s family must possess less than 5 acres of land as part of the application process.

Under Ladli Behna Yojana 2.0, women can receive the first installment of 1250 rupees. On the 10th of every month, 1250 rupees will be sent to the women’s accounts, totaling an annual benefit of 15,000 rupees

Documents Required for Ladli Behna Yojana 2.0 New Registration:

  1. Aadhaar Card
  2. Samagra ID
  3. Swyam ID (Self ID)
  4. Mobile Number
  5. Bank Account (Debit Account)
  6. Live Captured Photograph during the form filling process.

Applications will be accepted until 20th August for the second phase of the scheme, starting from 25th July. In urban areas with larger wards, applications will be collected at the ward level, while in smaller wards and rural areas, applications will be received at the zone offices and all 314 gram panchayats. Approximately 35,000 new beneficiaries are expected to be included in the scheme’s second phase in the Indore district, in addition to the existing 139,223 eligible beneficiaries from the first phase.

The number of eligible female voters is approximately 20 million, and the scheme is expected to benefit over 10.4 million eligible women. Among the 26 million female voters in the state, the scheme is providing cash benefits to more than half of them. It is noteworthy that the second phase of the Ladli Bahna Yojana has commenced on 25th July, where women aged 21 years and above can fill out the forms. Additionally, women who did not fill out the forms during the first phase or had their applications rejected for various reasons can now apply again in the new phase.
