DPS Center Tops NEET Results: 20 Students Score 700+ in Ahmedabad Schools; Parliament Debates
The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the center-wise and city-wise results for NEET-UG-2024 on Saturday, July 20, 2024, following a Supreme Court order. The analysis revealed several surprising facts, with Gujarat becoming a topic of discussion nationwide. Students from centers in Rajkot and Ahmedabad scored over 700 marks, making it a hot topic. Ahmedabad topped the list with the highest percentage of students scoring above 700 marks. At DPS School in Ahmedabad, 12 out of 676 students scored over 700 marks, and at Podar International School, 8 out of 754 students scored above 700 marks. These results are significantly higher compared to RK University in Rajkot. When opposition leader Rahul Gandhi and his INDIA alliance partner Akhilesh Yadav raised the NEET issue in Parliament during the monsoon session, Bhaskar analyzed the results from Gujarat centers.
Eight Students from Podar International School Score Above 700 Marks
At Delhi Public School (DPS) near Bopal Railway Crossing in Ahmedabad, 676 students appeared for the NEET exam, with 12 scoring above 700 marks. At Podar International School in Chandkheda, 8 out of 754 students scored above 700 marks. At Shanti Asiatic School on S.P. Ring Road, 709 students appeared for the exam, with 4 scoring above 700 marks. At Asia English School on Drive-In Road, 757 students took the exam, with 3 scoring above 700 marks. Notably, 36 students from DPS scored over 600 marks.
251 Students from RK University Center Score Over 600 Marks
Rajkot center garnered nationwide attention as it had two centers in one campus, with an 85% pass rate. At the RK University center on Rajkot-Bhavnagar Road, 15 students scored above 700 marks, and 251 students scored over 600 marks. The NEET results controversy brought Gujarat back into the spotlight, with Rajkot’s results being particularly notable. Out of 7153 students from 7 centers in Rajkot, 19 scored above 700 marks.
RK University Center Becomes a Hot Topic
The NEET exam conducted by NTA took place across seven centers. The RK University units 1 and 2 on Rajkot-Bhavnagar Road, Marwadi University units 1 and 2 on Morbi Road, Rajkumar College on Yagnik Road, PDM Campus Sarvoday Sankul on Gondal Road, and Christ College in Munjka collectively saw 7153 students appearing for the exam. The highest number of students appeared at the RK University units 1 and 2, with outstanding results making Rajkot and RK University centers a topic of discussion nationwide. Out of 7153 students, 19 scored above 700 marks, and 510 scored over 600 marks.
60 Students Score Over 600 Marks
NTA’s center and city-wise result analysis showed that at RK University unit 1 on Rajkot-Bhavnagar Road, 1968 students appeared for the exam, with 12 scoring above 700 marks and 251 scoring over 600 marks. At unit 2, 973 students took the exam, with 3 scoring above 700 marks and 55 scoring over 600 marks. At Marwadi University unit 1 on Morbi Road, 1189 students appeared, with 2 scoring above 700 marks and 29 scoring over 600 marks. At unit 2, 992 students took the exam, with 60 scoring over 600 marks.
Eight Students from Rajkumar College Score Over 600 Marks
At Rajkumar College on Yagnik Road, Rajkot, 283 students appeared for the exam, with 1 scoring above 700 marks and 8 scoring over 600 marks. At PDM Campus Sarvoday Sankul on Gondal Road, 757 students appeared, with 1 scoring above 700 marks and 34 scoring over 600 marks. At Christ College in Munjka, 997 students took the exam, with 73 scoring over 600 marks.
Exams Conducted Transparently at All Seven Centers in Rajkot
In an interview with Divya Bhaskar, Rajkot’s NEET exam coordinator Asmitaben Desai and RK University’s superintendent Dr. Mahesh Parsaniya confirmed that the exams were conducted transparently. Asmitaben Desai stated that exams were held at seven centers in Rajkot, with complete transparency. Dr. Mahesh Parsaniya emphasized that RK University has maintained transparency since 2006. A total of 2976 students appeared for the exam at RK University, supervised by 300 staff members across 124 blocks. The integrity of the exam was ensured, with no student facing any injustice.
NTA’s Digital Lock System for Question Papers
NTA conducts the exam and sends digitally locked question papers, which are opened half an hour before the exam starts. These are then distributed block-wise, with signatures from two students for verification.
