Congress Backs Students in GETCO Recruitment Dispute: Yuvraj Singh Vows Legal Action for Justice

Several candidates, including Yuvarajsingh, were denied entry to the Getco campus where they intended to submit their requests. While they went inside to make their pleas, other students are staging a sit-in protest outside Getco’s office. Disappointment looms for Yuvarajsingh Jadhja and other candidates who have not met with the Managing Director (MD) of GUVNL. Yuvarajsingh Jadhja, a student leader, appealed, stating that they need to remove the HR Manager General J.T. Rai and meet the MD. Until they meet the MD, the agitation will continue, as mentioned by HR Manager General J.T. Rai, who clarified that the responsibility for errors in the pole test lies with the officials.

Government spokesperson Rishikesh Patel commented that although the SIT was formed, HR Manager General J.T. Rai is not being held accountable for the SIT’s formation. Students are upset, questioning the fairness of the officials’ punishment on them. The government’s plan to recruit 1800 positions across 9 locations is likened to a lollipop. All candidates plan to protest outside GUVNL offices. Yuvarajsingh Jadhja announced that they would encircle the Legislative Assembly.

Yuvarajsingh Jadhja’s Call for Unity Against Injustice

Yuvarajsingh Jadhja urged Congress, AAP, opposition, and BJP representatives to support the cause of Gujarat’s youth. At the Getco office, the protest gained momentum with slogans raised by the youth, and it drew the attention of political leaders. Congress leaders, including Rituvi Joshi, expressed their support. Congress leader Amit Chavda also spoke with Yuvarajsingh Jadhja over the phone. Eleven fasting candidates have been demonstrating for justice, demanding that the government respond to their concerns. The protesting candidates raised slogans like “Justice, Justice, Yuvaraj Singh, Move Forward, We Are With You.” Students from all over Gujarat joined the protest outside Getco’s office.

Massive Student Protest Against Getco Recruitment Blunders

Getco had announced the recruitment of 1224 positions for Electrical Assistants. Following mistakes in the pole test conducted by the Zone, Getco decided to cancel the recruitment for those positions. Candidates have suffered due to departmental errors. Large numbers of candidates from Vadodara have been protesting outside Getco’s office against the decision. Earlier, candidates who appeared on the merit list protested against Getco’s office for denying them entry. Getco has now shifted the examination center for the Electrical Assistant recruitment to Navsari.

Yuvarajsingh Jadhja also reached the Vadodara circle office of the Gujarat Power Company Limited. Congress leaders made an entry into Getco’s office along with two other candidates. Students from across Gujarat have gathered outside Getco’s office to protest against the recruitment blunders.

Gandhi Nagar Satyagraha Threatened if Demands Ignored: Yuvarajsingh Jadhja

Yuvarajsingh Jadhja warned that if their demands are not met through peaceful means, they will resort to Gandhinagar Satyagraha. He emphasized that they are prepared to take their protest to the next level, including besieging Energy Minister Kanubhai Desai’s residence if needed. The students affirmed their commitment to seeking justice and announced that even if their demands are not accepted, they will protest outside Kanubhai Desai’s residence with a gathering of a thousand students. Yuvarajsingh Jadhja stressed the importance of seeking justice through non-violent means and urged all students to stand united in their pursuit of fairness in the recruitment process.

“Resignation from Private Job”

Many students had dreams, and many had set ambitious goals. In the context of social issues, it was often said that soon our government jobs would be available. Many students willingly left their good private jobs. After completing all the processes, including document verification, within five days, the Energy Department’s MD communicated the decision to issue appointment letters. We considered it a relief and are now wondering when we will receive the appointment letters.

“Protest Will Intensify If Exams Are Canceled: Candidate”

A candidate from Dahod, who came for a protest, stated that if the exams they had applied for are canceled through an unfair process, they would intensify the protest. They expressed strong dissatisfaction with the recruitment process and mentioned that they would intensify the agitation if the exams were not conducted at the scheduled time.

“Last Orders Cancelled When It Was Time to Give: Candidate”

Another candidate, Hemantkumar Kukadiya, expressed that injustice was done to them by the GSEB. They highlighted the irregularities in the six-month written-oral exams and stated that they had canceled the last orders when it was time to give them. They claimed that injustice has been done to all, and if anyone resorts to suicide or faces any harm, the complete responsibility and strategy will be on the government.

“Security Officer Discusses Management”

The security officer at Getco emphasized that they are responsible individuals, managing over 1,000 students fleeing from police arrest during the examination process. They have taken care of the security division and have conducted virtual interviews for candidates under Rajkot, Bharuch, and Mehsana zones. Due to the shocking details revealed in the Getco investigation committee’s report, it has been decided to cancel the entire recruitment process under Rajkot, Bharuch, and Mehsana zones. The report also emphasizes keeping facts in mind and announcing the cancellation of the entire recruitment process under Rajkot, Bharuch, and Mehsana zones.
