Major CID Crime Raid on 35 Spas and Hotels in Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar: 13 Trafficking Cases, 5 Visa Violations, and 42 Arrests
There have been frequent reports of illicit activities taking place within spas and hotels in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, with some claims suggesting local police assistance in these unethical operations.
However, the Gujarat CID Crime has recently conducted a major operation, raiding 35 locations in a single night and arresting the accused. A team of 35 police inspectors from CID conducted simultaneous raids on expensive hotels in Ahmedabad and several hotels in Gandhinagar, uncovering the entire racket.
During the raids, foreign women were discovered hidden in hotels for immoral activities, while some hotels were found to be involved in illegal liquor trade, and the presence of women and transgender individuals was also reported.
The police have filed additional charges for these offenses. In total, CID Crime has registered 22 cases and arrested 42 individuals, creating a significant stir across the state.
CID Crime’s First Major Raid on Spas and Hotels
In a groundbreaking operation, CID Crime and Railway teams conducted simultaneous raids on various spas and hotels along SG Highway in Gandhinagar and in upscale areas of Ahmedabad in a single night.
The details emerging from this operation are quite shocking, marking the first major raid by CID Crime on such a large scale involving hotels and spas. This unprecedented action has caused a stir among those involved in immoral activities, revealing that luxury hotel rooms and spas were being used for indulgent purposes.
Raids Ordered Under Cover: CID Crime Operation Details
According to information from CID Crime officials, CID Crime Chief Rajkumar Pandey directed 35 police inspectors from CID Crime and Railway yesterday. They were given a sealed cover containing details for conducting raids. Each cover included specific addresses of hotels and spas where the raids were to take place.
The raids uncovered startling details. Following operations in multiple hotels and spas in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, foreign women, liquor parties, and other illegal activities were found. The police arrested all those involved. Out of the 35 locations targeted, successful raids were conducted at 20 places, while another 15 locations faced unsuccessful attempts.
Action Taken After Arrests: CID Crime’s Report
After the arrests, CID Crime’s DYSP R.S. Patel informed Source that raids were conducted at various locations in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. The operation led to 13 cases related to illegal trafficking and five cases involving foreign women for visa violations.
Additionally, bottles of alcohol were discovered, leading to further charges against the accused. In total, approximately 20 to 22 cases have been registered, and actions have been taken against the arrested individuals.
