CID Busts Prostitution Racket in Gandhinagar Spa: Women from Maharashtra and Assam Exploited at Urban International Spa

CID Crime has busted a prostitution racket operating under the guise of spas in various areas of Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar. Following this, a case has been registered against the owner and manager of Urban International Spa in Atryaa Complex, near Sargasan Cross Road, where women from Maharashtra and Assam were being exploited.

The state CID Crime received a tip-off that spa owners and managers in the Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar areas were running prostitution operations by bringing in women from outside. Acting on this information, the CID Crime team from the Bhuj unit sent a dummy customer to the Urban International Spa in Atriya Complex, near Sargasan Cross Road.

As planned, the CID Crime team stormed into Urban International Spa as soon as they received the green signal from the dummy customer. They found manager Rajat Mahesh Sachdeva (currently residing in Atriya Complex, Urban International Spa, shop numbers 101 to 104, originally from New Delhi).

A thorough search of different rooms in the spa revealed women from Maharashtra and Assam being exploited.

The CID Crime raid caused panic among the customers present. It was discovered that the spa owner, Mohammad Mohsinbhai Sirajbhai Meman (from Parbada village, Himatnagar), had rented shops to establish Urban International Spa.

With the help of manager Rajat Sachdeva and Ranjit Jha (residing in Nepal), they were running a prostitution racket by bringing in women from outside. The CID Crime has registered a case against all three and initiated legal proceedings.
