Chetan Shiyal Attacked with Machete by Six at Jafrabad Jetty: Video of Amreli BJP Youth President with Revolver Goes Viral

There is widespread outrage following an attack on Chetan Shiyal, the son-in-law of Rajula’s MLA Hira Solanki and the president of the Amreli district youth BJP, who was assaulted with a machete. Chetan sustained serious injuries and has been transferred to Bhavnagar for treatment. 

Reports suggest that the altercation began after a dispute arose over vehicles being parked across the road at the Jafrabad jetty. A video of the brawl has gone viral on social media, showing Chetan Shiyal with a revolver in hand. Following the incident, Chetan’s father filed a complaint against six individuals, prompting the police to launch a further investigation.

Altercation Over Vehicle Parking Leads to Violent Attack

The incident unfolded at the T-type jetty of Jafrabad port, where the complainant, Chandrakant Shiyal, and other witnesses had just returned from fishing. As they approached the jetty to unload their catch, they encountered a tractor loaded with ice, which had been parked in the roadway. When Chandrakant requested the accused, Yashvant Baraiya and others, to move the tractor aside, they became agitated and began arguing with him.

Chandrakant’s son, Chetan Shiyal, the current president of the Amreli district youth BJP, was informed about the situation and arrived at the scene. Upon his arrival, the accused became even more aggressive and launched a lethal attack on him with a machete, also stealing a gold chain during the assault.

Chetan Shiyal Sustains Serious Injuries, Transferred to Bhavnagar for Treatment

Chetan Shiyal has sustained severe injuries to his head following the attack at the T jetty in Jafrabad and has been transferred to Bhavnagar for medical treatment. He is currently receiving care at the hospital. In response to the incident, BJP leaders from Amreli rushed to Bhavnagar Hospital late at night to offer their support.

Chetan Shiyal, who was injured in the attack, currently serves as the president of the Amreli district youth BJP. He is the son-in-law of Hira Solanki, the MLA from Rajula, and is also a leader within the Jafrabad Koli community.

Complaint Filed Against Six Individuals Following Incident

In connection with the incident at the T jetty in Jafrabad, Chandrakant Shiyal, the father of Chetan Shiyal, has filed a formal complaint against six individuals: Yashvant Narayanbhai Baraiya, Siddharth Baraiya, Sanjay Baraiya, a crew member of a boat named “Jayashree Tatkalik,” the driver of the tractor, and a person referred to as “Botno Didhiyo” (Tandela). 

The complaint includes charges of attempted murder and robbery. The Jafrabad police have initiated further investigations into the matter.

A video has gone viral on social media showing Chetan Shiyal holding a revolver during the incident at the T jetty in Jafrabad. However, the police have yet to provide any clarification regarding this matter.

Hira Solanki: Similar Attacks Have Occurred in the Past

Hirabhai Solanki, the MLA from Rajula and father-in-law of Chetan Shiyal, arrived at Bhavnagar Hospital late at night. He stated that Chetan had been the victim of a lethal attack in Jafrabad and that they are currently in Bhavnagar for treatment.

He mentioned that he has brought this matter to the attention of the SP and the Jafrabad PI, expressing confidence that the law will take its course. Solanki emphasized that the government always takes such elements seriously and noted that similar attacks have happened before, which have been brought to the police’s attention. He assured that legal action will be taken by the government in response to these incidents.
