Champai Soren May Join BJP Today: Cites Humiliation in JMM as Reason

Before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested Hemant Soren, Jharkhand’s Chief Minister position was handed over to Champai Soren. However, with Champai Soren no longer serving as Chief Minister, there are speculations about his potential unrest and possible joining of the BJP at any time.

Champai Soren arrived in Delhi but did not explicitly mention joining another party. Instead, he expressed that his humiliation as Chief Minister was profound and stated that he had three options open to him. Meanwhile, Hemant Soren claimed that the BJP was attempting to destabilize the government by buying up legislators in the state.

Champai Soren Expresses Frustration in Twitter Post

Champai Soren made a lengthy Twitter post where he expressed his frustration, stating that after the events of January 31 (Hemant Soren’s arrest), the INDIA alliance appointed him as the 12th Chief Minister of Jharkhand. By the end of June, he was informed that the party leadership had suspended all his programs.

When he inquired, he was told that a meeting of the legislators was scheduled for July 3. Until then, he was advised not to attend any programs as Chief Minister. Soren questioned whether there could be a greater insult in democracy than having a Chief Minister’s programs canceled by someone else.

Champai Soren Discusses Political Options and Frustrations

Champai Soren mentioned that he requested permission to attend the meeting after completing his scheduled programs, but his request was denied. He expressed feeling deeply disheartened in his political career.

During the legislative meeting, he stated that he now has three options: to retire from politics, to establish his own organization, or to continue his journey with anyone who might offer an opportunity.

Champai Soren Arrives in Delhi Amidst Hemant Soren’s Allegations

As Champai Soren arrives in Delhi, Chief Minister Hemant Soren addressed a rally in Godda, Jharkhand, stating that the BJP has started attempts to destabilize the current government by bringing in people from Gujarat, Assam, and Maharashtra. He also alleged that the BJP is trying to buy legislators to achieve this goal.

Hemant Soren Challenges BJP Amidst Jharkhand Assembly Elections

This year, Jharkhand will hold its Assembly elections. However, it is speculated that the timing of the elections will be determined by the opposition BJP rather than the Election Commission, indicating that BJP members have taken control of the commission and it is no longer functioning as a constitutional institution.

Hemant Soren challenged the BJP, asserting that if elections were held in Jharkhand today, the BJP would be wiped out from the state by the next day.
