Bus Crashes Into Dumper, Splitting in Half: 6 Dead, 20+ Injured, Mayor Visits Hospital
Early this morning, a devastating accident occurred on the highway near Trapaj, Bhavnagar, when a private bus collided with a stationary dumper truck. The accident claimed six lives, including a brother and sister, and left over 20 others injured. The injured were immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Collision by a Luxury Bus from Behind
According to reports, a dumper truck broke down on the highway near Trapaj and was parked on the roadside. Meanwhile, a private bus of Apple Travels, traveling from Surat to Rajula, collided heavily with the truck from behind. The impact caused the death of six people on the spot and left more than 20 others injured.
Half of the Luxury Bus Was Crushed
Upon learning of the accident, local residents and other drivers gathered at the site and alerted the police and emergency services. Police and ambulances quickly arrived at the scene to transport the injured for medical treatment. The accident was so severe that one side of the private travel bus was completely crushed.
No Warning Stones Behind the Dumper: Driver
The driver of the luxury bus, Vallabhbhai Sondabhai Makwana, stated that the bus was traveling from Surat to Rajula and was fully occupied with passengers. Near Trapaj, a dumper was parked on the roadside without any warning stones placed behind it. The driver failed to notice the dumper until the last moment and tried to control the bus but could not avoid the accident.
Instructions Issued by MP Nimbuben Bambhaniya
Upon being informed about the tragic accident, Bhavnagar MP and Union Minister of State, Nimbuben Bambhaniya, instructed the Sir T. Hospital staff to take immediate measures for the treatment of the injured. She stayed in constant touch with the district collector to ensure swift action and instructed officials to provide all necessary assistance at the accident site. Bhavnagar Mayor Bharat Barad and Standing Committee Chairman Rajubhai Rabadiya also visited the hospital to meet the victims.

- Jayashri Maheshbhai Nakum (38 years, resident of Vaghnagar)
- Chaturaben Madhubhai Hadia (45 years, resident of Kotadi-Rajula)
- Chhaganbhai Kalabhai Baldaniya (45 years, resident of Rasulpara-Gir Gadhada)
Govind and Tamanna, who lost their lives, were siblings from a family engaged in farming and business. They were returning to their hometown after attending a community wedding in Surat when the accident occurred.
Action Will Be Taken Against the Guilty: Hira Solanki
Rajula MLA Hira Solanki expressed his condolences over the tragic accident, which claimed the lives of several people, including three to four individuals from his constituency. He assured that immediate attention is being given to the victims at the hospital. Discussions with doctors are underway to ensure prompt treatment for the injured. He also promised to take strict action against those responsible for the accident.
