Bootlegger Attacks Police PCR Van: Police Seize Scorpio Car from Silvassa Garage, Yusuf Also Attempted to Run Over Constable

In Bhestan, Surat, bootlegger Yusuf Khan, who recently attacked a police PCR van, remains at large. However, the police have seized the Scorpio vehicle he attempted to use to run over a constable. 

The vehicle was found in a garage in Silvassa. Authorities are now intensifying efforts, aiming to capture the suspect within 24 hours.

Suspect Remains Out of Police Reach in Bhestan Police Attack Incident

In the incident involving an attack on police in Bhestan, the reckless bootlegger Yusuf is still evading capture. Yusuf circled his vehicle for ten minutes at a traffic junction, attempting to run over a traffic constable. 

Following this, he violently crashed his car into the police PCR Bolero multiple times. Yusuf, who was previously arrested in January for a prohibition case, repeatedly rammed his black Scorpio into the PCR van from both the front and rear, causing significant damage to the van, leading to a police complaint against him.

After Arguing with Police, Attack Followed

It is common for the accused, involved in alcohol trafficking, to engage in physical altercations. In this case, Yusuf first hurled obscene insults at a police constable, then ordered Constable Gunjan, who was standing nearby, to move away from the shop. 

Afterward, Yusuf grabbed Gunjan by his belt and shoved him. Following this, Constable Ritesh quickly made a phone call, leading to the arrival of the PCR van in an attempt to capture Yusuf.

Police Vow to Capture Accused within 24 Hours

While ramming the PCR van, the bootlegger’s Scorpio also sustained damage. After carrying out the attack, the accused fled towards Silvassa and left his Scorpio for repairs at a garage there.

The Bhestan police have seized the vehicle and launched further investigation. However, senior police officials have assured that the bootlegger will be apprehended within 24 hours.
