BJP Election Song – ‘Main Modi Ka Parivar Hoon’: PM Modi Shares Video, Emphasizes ‘Mera Bharat, Mera Parivar’
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched its theme song titled “Main Modi Ka Parivar Hoon” for its election campaign on Saturday (March 16). Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared the video of the song on social media platforms. The lyrics of the song emphasize the sentiment – “Mera Bharat, Mera Parivar.”
The party commenced this campaign ten days ago (March 6). Indeed, on March 3, during the Mahagathbandhan rally in Patna, Lalu Yadav mentioned that PM Modi attacks family politics, but he doesn’t have his own family.
In response, BJP posted on X, stating that 140 crore Indians are the family of PM Modi. Following this, BJP leaders began writing ‘Modi Ka Parivar’ ahead of their names on their X profiles.
Modi: “I Left My Home for the Sake of the Country”
On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi responded to RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav’s remarks on the ‘family’ issue. He stated, “I ask them to tell me, is my country not my family, are 140 crore Indians not my family? Whenever I talk about family politics, the opposition claims Modi has no family.”
Modi emphasized that he left his home for the sake of the country and devoted his life to serving it. Shortly after PM’s speech, prominent BJP leaders including Amit Shah, JP Nadda, Smriti Irani, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, and Kiren Rijiju changed their profile names.
Opposition Reacts to Modi Ka Parivar Campaign…
Congress leader Pawan Khera: BJP isn’t worried about the families of those who commit suicide; they aren’t concerned whether they are youths or farmers. They are deviating from these issues. If BJP was concerned, they would have included the families of farmers in their concern.
Congress MP K. C. Venugopal: You could see the enthusiasm among the people in Patna on March 3. The Bharat Bandh is gaining momentum every day, and BJP is worried about it.
Congress leader Supriya Shrinate: These issues need to be sidelined. The main issues are inflation, leaked papers, and unemployment. BJP is running the ‘Dhyaan Bhatakao’ campaign.
BJP’s ‘Main Bhi Chowkidar’ Campaign: Then and Now
In 2019, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched the ‘Main Bhi Chowkidar’ (I am also a watchman) campaign. Similarly, in 2024, mirroring its 2019 initiative, the BJP initiated the ‘Main Bhi Chowkidar’ campaign once again. During one of the rallies, Rahul Gandhi had chanted the slogan “Chowkidar Chor Hai” (The watchman is a thief).
Following this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi changed his name on Twitter to ‘Chowkidar Narendra Modi’. Subsequently, many prominent BJP ministers and leaders, including Amit Shah, Piyush Goyal, JP Nadda, and others, also added ‘Chowkidar’ before their names in solidarity with the campaign.
