In the wake of an attack on former US President Donald Trump, a shooting occurred at a nightclub in Birmingham, Alabama, resulting in the deaths of at least seven people. According to Birmingham police, nine individuals were also injured in the incident. The injured have been transported to the hospital for treatment, with many reported to be in critical condition. Police officials stated that they responded to reports of gunfire at 11:08 PM on the 3400 block of 27th Street North. Officers arrived on the scene to find several people had been shot.

Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service (BFRS) arrived shortly after the incident and declared a male victim deceased on the sidewalk outside the nightclub. Two women found inside the club were also pronounced dead. Several injured individuals were transported to UAB Hospital by BFRS personnel or private vehicles. Doctors at UAB Hospital pronounced another person dead upon arrival.

The police are currently investigating the motive behind the shooting. Officer Truman Fitzgerald stated that authorities believe a suspect fired shots into the nightclub from the street.
