A disturbing incident has come to light from Malleshwaram in Karnataka. According to reports, a 26-year-old woman has been brutally murdered. Her body was dismembered into several pieces. After the murder, her remains were stored in a fridge near Vyalikaval in Malleshwaram. 

Additional Commissioner of Police West, Satish Kumar, stated that the police arrived at the scene after detecting a foul smell. An in-depth investigation into the entire matter is currently underway.

Body Found Dismembered into Over 30 Pieces

The police have reported that the body of the 26-year-old woman was dismembered into more than 30 pieces and stored in a refrigerator in a house within the jurisdiction of Vyalikaval Police Station. An investigation is currently ongoing. 

The police team is conducting inquiries with the assistance of a dog squad, and a forensic team has also been called to the scene. A thorough investigation into this case is being carried out.

Identity of the Deceased Confirmed

The police have announced that the identity of the body has been established. The young woman has been identified as Mahalaxmi. She was residing in Karnataka but originally hailed from another state. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities will provide more information after further inquiries.

The police have called an immediate investigation team to the scene and collected all potential evidence. Authorities suspect that Mahalaxmi was murdered approximately 10-15 days ago. 

They also express concern that after the murder, the perpetrator dismembered her body and stored the pieces in a refrigerator to buy time for escape. The police have now initiated a manhunt for the suspect and are busy scanning CCTV footage from the area related to the murder.

Police Provide Details of the Incident

“The incident occurred in a 1 BHK house within the jurisdiction of Vyalikaval Police. The body of the 26-year-old woman was dismembered and stored in a refrigerator. At first glance, this incident did not happen recently; it appears to have occurred about 10-15 days ago. 

A dog squad and fingerprint team are present at the scene. We have also called in the FSL team, and the investigation is ongoing. We have identified the girl, but please allow us to complete the investigation.”

Woman Was Living Separately from Her Husband

Neighbors informed the young woman’s mother and brother about a foul smell coming from the house. When they arrived, they discovered the murder. The locks on the house were broken. It has been revealed that she was living separately from her husband. Mahalaxmi had been renting the place for the last three months and worked at a mall in Bengaluru.

Her husband works at an ashram located far from the city and also arrived at the scene after learning about the incident. According to the police, the body parts were severely mutilated. DCP Shekhar and Additional Police Commissioner Satish stated that the woman’s body was dismembered into over 30 pieces. 

The woman was living apart from her husband. The landlord’s name is Jayaram, and a young man used to come to drop her off and pick her up, raising suspicions with the police regarding his involvement. The investigation into this case is currently ongoing.
