Friend of Valsad Student Calls Her Sister About Disappearance

In Motiwada village, Valsad, a 19-year-old girl named Khushi (name changed for privacy), a second-year B.Com student at GB Pardiwala College, went missing on November 14th. Her elder sister, who works in Udvada, had come to Valsad for work that day.

During her stay, Khushi’s friend called her elder sister, Tripti (name changed for privacy), informing her that he had been talking to Khushi, but after she began speaking with another boy, the phone call abruptly ended.

This information was shared by the friend, Anand, with Khushi’s elder sister. Later, the elder sister got off the bus at the Valsad RPF ground, took an auto-rickshaw, and headed towards the Udvada station to search for her sister.

Search for Khushi Begins After Her Shoes Are Found Near Orchard

As Tripti, Khushi’s elder sister, was heading towards Motiwada village from Udvada railway station, she noticed Anand standing with his friends near the Hatbazar ground. Tripti spoke to Anand to check if Khushi had reached home. When she asked their mother, she was informed that Khushi was not at home.

While heading towards her maternal uncle’s house nearby, Khushi’s sandals were found near a nearby orchard. This discovery prompted the family members, along with Anand’s help, to begin a search in the surrounding area for Khushi.

The body of the student was sent to FSL PM at Surat Civil.

Khushi Found Dead Under Tree in Orchard

Anand went to check the orchard and found Khushi lying under a tree in a sleeping position. He immediately called out, and Tripti and other family members were informed that Khushi had been found. Tripti, rushing to the spot, checked and found Khushi lying unconscious with her head resting on a bag. When she tried to wake her, Khushi did not respond.

Anand then took Tripti on his bike and rushed Khushi to the nearest hospital, where the attending doctor declared her dead. Upon learning of the incident, the Pardi police team took control of the body and sent it for a forensic post-mortem in Surat.

After recording the statements of family members, Pardi police initially registered an Accidental Death (AD) report and began their investigation. However, after the preliminary forensic report indicated signs of rape and murder, the police filed a case of sexual assault and murder.
