Ayushman Card Scandal: Oncology Department of Sunshine Global Hospital in Vadodara Shut Down

In recent times, several irregularities have come to light under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme, prompting the government to take strict action. Investigations into seven hospitals in Gujarat have uncovered misconduct. 

Among them, Sunshine Global Hospital in Vadodara was found to have committed irregularities in its oncology department. As a result, the hospital’s oncology services under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme have been suspended for three months, effectively halting operations in this department.

Government Investigates Hospitals Following Ayushman Card Irregularities in Gujarat

After irregularities were detected in the Ayushman Card scheme at a hospital in Ahmedabad, the government initiated investigations into several hospitals. Recently, action was taken against certain hospitals in Vadodara, and a detailed report has been submitted to the central government for further review.

Ayushman Bharat Scheme Scandal: Action Taken Against Seven Hospitals in Gujarat

Following the detection of irregularities at Swati Hospital in Ahmedabad under the Ayushman Card Scheme, the government has launched another round of investigations. Reports reveal misconduct in seven hospitals across Gujarat. 

Among these, irregularities were discovered in the oncology department of Sunshine Global Hospital in Manjalpur, Vadodara, which provides cancer treatment. Immediate action was taken, and the oncology department has been barred from utilizing the Ayushman Card services. The department has been shut down for three months as part of the penalty.
