Amit Shah’s 2-Day Gujarat Visit: Vibrant Navratri 2024 Launch, ₹447 Crore Development Projects, CP Office Inauguration & Society Visits
Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Gujarat for two days starting Tuesday. In the morning, the Home Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for various development projects worth ₹447 crore by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation.
In the evening, he will inaugurate the new Police Commissioner’s office at Shahibaug. At 8 PM, Shah will officially launch the Vibrant Navratri 2024 event at the GMDC Ground in Vastrapur. Later at night, he will attend Garba programs at societies in Naranpura and Vejalpur.
On the second day, in the evening, he will attend a statue unveiling ceremony in Bilodra, Manasa. Later, he will conclude his visit with a prayer and aarti at a temple in his hometown.
Inauguration of Gota Vegetable Market and Other Key Projects by Amit Shah
Amit Shah will inaugurate the Gota Vegetable Market. Around 10 AM, he will attend a mega medical camp at Baldevgiri Hall near the Cargill petrol pump on SG Highway. Following this, he will inaugurate the Tele-Rehabilitation Center at Sola Civil Hospital. Next, he will head to the Gota Vegetable Market for its inauguration, located adjacent to Baldevgiri Hall.
Shah will also inaugurate a newly constructed primary school in Bhadaj, where a public meeting is scheduled. During this event, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for various development projects worth ₹447 crore, covering the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency and Ahmedabad East and West constituencies.
Amit Shah to Inaugurate MLA Kanubhai Patel’s Office and Attend Key Events
After the inauguration event, Amit Shah will proceed to Sanand, where he will inaugurate the office of MLA Kanubhai Patel. From there, he will attend a workers’ conference of the Sanand Assembly on Nal Sarovar Road.
At 5 PM, he will inaugurate the new Police Commissioner’s office in Shahibaug, Ahmedabad. Later, at 8 PM, he will launch the Vibrant Navratri Festival at GMDC Ground.
On the following day, October 4, Shah will attend a statue unveiling ceremony at a school in Bilodra village, Mansa Taluka. In the evening, he will participate in aarti at a temple in Mansa.
Inauguration of New Police Commissioner Office to See 700 VVIPs in Attendance
On the evening of October 3, 2024, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate the new building of the Ahmedabad City Police Commissioner’s office.
The Ahmedabad police are making extensive arrangements for the event, which will be attended by 700 VVIPs and a total of 12,000 people. This marks the beginning of a new chapter for the Ahmedabad City Police.
Ahmedabad Police Headquarters Equipped with High-Tech Command and Control Center
A state-of-the-art building has been constructed at the Ahmedabad City Police Headquarters. The high-tech facility features a command and control center with a seating capacity of 180 for city monitoring. The Police Commissioner will operate from the 7th floor of the building. The two-level basement parking can accommodate up to 3,000 vehicles.
Additionally, the building includes a conference room and a canteen, with various modern facilities spread across different floors. Visitors will be granted entry only after undergoing a security scan, similar to airport protocols.
Enhanced Security at New Police Commissioner Office Building
The staff from the old Ahmedabad Police Commissioner’s office will be relocated to this new state-of-the-art building, with all necessary arrangements already in place.
A key feature of the new building is its stringent security measures at the entrance, including metal detectors and thorough security checks. Similar to airport protocols, entry is allowed only after scanning, with two gates designed to manage secure access.
Key Offices and Facilities on the First Floor of the New Police Headquarters
The first floor of the new building houses several important offices, including the DCP Control Room, administrative offices, and the Special Branch Control Room. Additionally, seating arrangements have been made for officers from PCB and other branches.
According to senior officials, each floor of the building offers distinct facilities, ensuring it can effectively assist the public. The first floor is particularly significant, as it includes offices for administrative work, DCP Control, and the Special Branch, which handles key tasks such as approvals and other administrative matters. This setup ensures smoother operations and better public assistance.
Monitoring City with 700 Cameras from the Command and Control Room
The newly established Command and Control Room is equipped with advanced technology, allowing monitoring of around 700 cameras installed across various locations in the city. This facility will also oversee special projects initiated for women’s safety.
From this centralized location, updates will be communicated to the respective zone’s DCPs and local officers. Additionally, the building’s architecture has been designed with a focus on proper ventilation. The seven-story building dedicates the top floor to the Police Commissioner’s office, where the Commissioner will operate.
