Mastermind of Akshardham Attack Threatens India Again: Targeting Hindu Leaders
Farhatullah Ghori, the wanted terrorist residing in Pakistan, has issued a new threat against India in a recent video. He instructed his sleeper cells to derail trains and disrupt supply chains in major cities like Delhi and Mumbai. The video, uploaded on Telegram three weeks ago, surfaced in the media on August 28. In the clip, Ghori urged the use of pressure cookers in bomb blasts and claimed that India’s intelligence agencies are weakening his sleeper cell network by targeting their properties.
Ghori also called for attacks on Hindu leaders and police in a 3-minute video, encouraging suicide bombings and targeting petroleum pipelines. This warning comes after suspicions of his involvement in the Rameshwar Cafe blast in Bengaluru earlier this year. The Indian government has declared Ghori a terrorist under the UAPA.
Security agencies in India are on high alert following Ghori’s threat. Meanwhile, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw described incidents of stone placing on train tracks as sensitive and assured that investigations are underway.
Ghori, the mastermind behind the 2002 Akshardham temple attack in Gujarat, which resulted in the deaths of over 30 people, remains a significant threat. His recent video highlights the ongoing dangers posed by his connections with groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed.
