Ahmedabad-Mumbai Double Decker Train Coaches Detach Near Surat: Seven Coaches Separated, Train Restored and Sent to Mumbai

Recently, a double-decker train traveling from Ahmedabad to Mumbai experienced a sudden detachment of its coaches near Surat. The last seven coaches of the train separated from the rest near Kaplin, close to Gothan in Olpad Taluka. Fortunately, no casualties were reported. 

Upon learning of the incident, administrative and police teams arrived at the scene and have initiated an investigation. Passengers were stranded briefly due to the separation of the coaches. Currently, the detached coaches have been separated, and the train has been sent towards Mumbai.

The recent detachment of coaches from the double-decker train has affected train operations between Ahmedabad and Surat. The railway department has already dispatched the next train, while the defective coaches have been retained at the station for inspection. 

Railway engineers and staff have arrived at Gothan Station to investigate the cause of the malfunction. The sudden separation of the coaches has disrupted train services between Ahmedabad and Surat.

Iqbalbhai, a passenger on the double-decker train, reported that at 8:50 AM, the Ahmedabad-Mumbai 12932 Double Decker Express experienced a sudden detachment of coaches number 7 and 8. During this incident, a woman standing in the moving train screamed loudly, causing passengers to panic and exit the train. 

They then discovered that the train’s coaches had separated. Upon notifying the railway department, officials arrived and found that the coupling connecting the two trains had broken. Railway authorities have since removed coach number 7 and reconnected coaches 6 and 8, allowing the train to continue its journey to Mumbai.

Railway official Javed Mansuri stated that they received a message about the incident, prompting their arrival to perform repairs. 

The coupling between the train’s coaches had separated, but it has now been repaired. The train has been cleared for its journey and is now en route to Mumbai.
