In a tragic incident in Delhi’s Karol Bagh area, a young man lost his life after an air conditioner unit fell from the second floor of a building. Another individual was injured in the incident, which occurred on Saturday, August 17, around 7 PM. The video of the incident has now surfaced on social media.
The video shows a boy sitting on a scooter under the building, with his friend standing beside him. The two were engaged in conversation, and at one point, they hugged each other. Suddenly, the outdoor unit of the AC fell directly on the boy sitting on the scooter.
Police reported that both friends were injured in the accident. They were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where the boy on the scooter was declared dead. His friend sustained injuries to his hand but is out of danger.

A tragic incident occurred in Delhi’s Karol Bagh area when a young man was sitting on his bike, talking to his friend at DB Gupta Road in the Doriwalan area. During their conversation, a large object suddenly fell on the young man’s head, resulting in his immediate death on the spot.
His friend, standing nearby, discovered that it was an air conditioner unit that had fallen directly from the second floor onto the young man’s head, causing his fatal injuries.
Friend of Deceased Man Undergoing Treatment
Following the viral video of the tragic incident, the police quickly took action. Authorities stated that the incident occurred around 7 AM when an air conditioner unit fell on an individual. Upon reaching the scene, police discovered that the outdoor AC unit had fallen from the third floor onto a young man in the Karol Bagh area, specifically on DB Gupta Road.
The injured were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, Jitesh, the young man, succumbed to his injuries, while another young man named Pranshu is currently undergoing treatment.
Identities of Both Victims Revealed in Delhi AC Unit Fall Incident
The two young men involved in the tragic incident have been identified. The deceased, Jitesh, was an 18-year-old resident of Doriwalan, while the injured, Pranshu, a 17-year-old, hails from Patel Nagar. Delhi Police have registered a case regarding the matter.
According to information from the DGB Road police, a forensic team has investigated the scene, and further investigation into the case is ongoing.
