Man Stabs Woman to Death in Bengaluru Girls’ PG, Dragged from Room: Brutality Caught on CCTV
A chilling video of a murder in Bengaluru, Karnataka’s capital, has surfaced. Two days ago, a young woman was killed in a paying guest (PG) accommodation in Koramangala, Bengaluru. The police have obtained CCTV footage of the incident, showing a young man attacking the woman with a knife.
Bihar Woman Murdered in PG
Kriti Kumari, a resident of Bihar, was working in a private company in Bengaluru. According to media reports, Kriti had recently shifted to the PG. On the night of July 23, a young man entered her room, grabbed her, and dragged her out, eventually killing her. The entire incident is captured in CCTV footage, showing the man with a bag entering Kriti’s room, knocking on the door, and then forcibly dragging her out. Kriti tried to save herself, but the man brutally attacked her with a knife, leaving her severely injured. The attacker then fled the scene.
Other Women Emerged After Attacker Fled
After the attacker fled, other women from nearby and upper floors came out but were too scared to approach Kriti. Kriti, covered in blood, sat on the ground for a while before succumbing to her injuries.
Victim Was a Resident of Bihar
According to the police, the murder occurred on the night of July 23. The attacker entered the room and killed 24-year-old Kriti Kumari. Police Commissioner B. Dayanand informed that Kriti was from Bihar and worked in a private company in the city.
Attacker Was From Madhya Pradesh
Police officer Dayanand stated that the attacker has not been arrested yet. Three special teams have been formed to apprehend him. The police have learned that the attacker is a resident of Madhya Pradesh and have sent a team there to investigate.
CCTV Footage Received by Police
The police reported that the CCTV footage has gone viral on social media. The video shows a person entering the PG with a polythene bag, knocking on a door, and later dragging the woman out.
Victim Died While Sitting in a Bloodied State
During the attack, the victim resisted, but the attacker repeatedly stabbed her and then fled. Hearing her screams, other women in the building rushed to the scene but were unable to save her. After multiple knife wounds, Kriti Kumari, covered in blood, died while sitting on the ground.
Attacker Entered Posing as Brother
According to media reports, around 11 PM, Kriti had returned to her room, and the incident occurred between 11:10 and 11:30 PM. As per Hindustan Times, the police reported that Kriti told the PG guard that the boy was her brother and should be allowed entry, promising he would leave soon. He was granted entry, after which the attack occurred. The police are actively searching for the attacker.
