Stock Market to Open on Saturday, March 2: Special Trading Sessions Planned
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) announced on Wednesday (February 14th) that the market will remain open even on Saturday, March 2nd, during the weekend break. During this period, there will be two special live trading sessions conducted.
One session will be held on the primary site, while the other will be on the DR (Disaster Recovery) site. The primary site’s first session will run from 9:15 AM to 10:00 AM, and the DR site’s session will be from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The pre-opening session timings will be from 9:00 AM to 9:08 AM and from 11:15 AM to 11:23 AM, respectively.
Regarding securities, the upper and lower circuit limits for shares with futures and options contracts will be 5%. This means that within this range, the share’s price movement will be restricted. Shares that were previously within a 2% band will now operate within this new band.
On February 14th, the stock market witnessed a surge. The Sensex closed at 71,822 points, registering a gain of 267 points, while the Nifty recorded a rise of 96 points, closing at 21,840 points.
