Reduction in Commercial Gas Cylinder Prices:
Oil marketing companies have reduced the price of 19-kilogram commercial gas cylinders by 72 rupees, effective today. In Delhi, the price has dropped to 1676 rupees from the previous 1745.50 rupees.
ATF Price Cut May Lead to Cheaper Air Travel:
Oil marketing companies have reduced the prices of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) in major cities, potentially leading to cheaper air travel. According to Indian Oil’s website, ATF in Delhi is now priced at 94,969.01 rupees per kiloliter, down from 6,673.87 rupees, while in Chennai, it’s now 98,557.14 rupees per kiloliter, down from 7,044.95 rupees.
Compulsory Aadhaar-PAN Linkage for Tax Compliance:
Failure to link your PAN with Aadhaar will now result in higher TDS deductions starting today. The Income Tax Department had mandated linking PAN with Aadhaar by May 31. However, linking PAN with Aadhaar now incurs a fee of 1000 rupees.
No Driving Test Required for Obtaining Driving License:
Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) will no longer conduct driving tests for issuing driving licenses. You can now obtain your license by undergoing training at private training centers or driving schools. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has amended the rules for driving licenses.

If your account with Punjab National Bank hasn’t seen any transactions for over three years, it will be closed starting today. The bank has notified account holders who haven’t operated their accounts for more than three years and have a zero balance. These accounts will be closed a month from the notice date.
No Change in Petrol and Diesel Prices
As of today, June 1st, there has been no change in the prices of petrol and diesel. Currently, in Delhi, petrol is being sold at 94.72 rupees per liter, while diesel is priced at 87.62 rupees per liter.
Meanwhile, in Mumbai, petrol is available at 106.31 rupees per liter, and diesel at 94.27 rupees per liter. These prices indicate a stable trend in fuel costs, providing consistency to consumers.
