Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL) has announced structural changes in its revenue vertical. The company’s MD and CEO, Punit Goenka, has introduced a new revenue model for this purpose.
In addition to this, the company’s Business President, Rahul Johri, has resigned. The company has accepted his resignation. ZEEL has provided information about these decisions through an announcement on Saturday, March 9.
Johri has been with the company for the last 3 years. Previously, Rahul Johri was the first CEO of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Before that, he also led Discovery’s South Asia operations.

Punit Prepares Roadmap to Enhance Efficiency
The board has decided to closely monitor the business model and plan proposed by the company’s MD and CEO to increase revenue and profits. A roadmap has been prepared to enhance efficiency and productivity for increasing the company’s income and profits.
Chief Growth Officer Ashish Sehgal to Collaborate with MD
At the same time, Chief Growth Officer Ashish Sehgal will work with the MD, CEO, and Advertising Revenue. At the beginning of this week, ZEEL’s Chairman, R Gopalan, announced at the investor summit that Zee’s business has been affected due to the slowdown, business issues, and industry consolidation trends. The company’s net consolidated income has decreased by 2.36% in the October-December quarter, amounting to INR 2073.36 crore.
