Volkswagen Launches New Variants of Virtus and Taigun: 5-Star Safety, 40+ Features, Ready to Compete with Honda City and Kia Seltos
On October 3, Volkswagen India launched two new variants of its popular Virtus sedan – the GT Line and GT Plus. These variants have been introduced with a few cosmetic updates compared to the regular models.
The car is available with the standard engine options. In addition to this, Volkswagen also launched new Highline Plus variants for the Virtus and Taigun, along with adding new features to the GT variants of the Taigun.

Volkswagen Refreshes Variant Lineup for Virtus Sedan, Introduces New GT Variant
Volkswagen has refreshed the variant lineup for its Virtus sedan and introduced a new GT variant, with prices starting at ₹14.07 lakh (ex-showroom). The new GT Line makes the “GT” badging and treatment more accessible, now available with a smaller 1-liter turbo-petrol engine.
Both new GT variants come with blacked-out exterior elements, while the GT Plus Sport also features red accents.
Along with the new GT variant, Volkswagen has also introduced new mid-spec Highline Plus variants for both Virtus and Taigun, aimed at making certain features more accessible and affordable.
