Leading Indian Two-Wheeler Manufacturer TVS Unveils New Electric Scooter ‘TVS X’. The company claims that it is India’s first electric scooter to come with live location sharing feature.

The company has priced it at INR 2.50 lakh at its ex-showroom, Bengaluru. This makes it the most expensive electric scooter in the country. Bookings for the ‘TVS X’ have already commenced, with deliveries set to begin from November.

This marks the company’s second electric scooter, preceded by the launch of iQube in 2020.

First Electric Scooter in the Country with Single Channel ABS:

The company claims that this scooter is the first electric scooter in the country to feature single channel ABS and cruise control. For braking, the TVS X is equipped with a 220mm disc brake with single channel ABS in the front and a 195mm normal disc brake in the rear. In addition to this, it also features safety features like auto hold function.

Design Elements of TVS X:

TVS X is an electric scooter crafted by the company on the Exalt platform. It utilizes an aluminum frame for its construction and features a comfortable ride with a mono-shock suspension in the rear for a smooth journey. The seat height stands at 770mm.

Speaking of TVS X’s design, it boasts a vertical LED headlight and LED DRLs at the front. Both sides of its headlight incorporate indicators. The electric scooter exhibits sharp design cues on all sides, setting it apart with a distinctive appearance.

TVS X: Motor, Power, and Top Speed

Delivering enhanced performance, TVS X is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous air-cooled motor that generates 11kW of power and a peak torque of 40Nm. The scooter offers three riding modes – Xtide, Xtride, Xonic. The company claims that the scooter can accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph in just 2.6 seconds. Its top speed is rated at 105 kmph.

TVS X: Battery, Range, and Charger

To power the motor, the scooter is equipped with a 4.44 kWh battery, providing a claimed range of 140 kilometers on a full charge. Speaking of charging, the scooter can be charged from 0 to 50% in just 50 minutes using the 3000W Smart X Home Rapid Charger. The 950W portable charger can take the battery from 0 to 80% in 4 hours and 30 minutes, priced at INR 16,275. Additionally, a 3 kW fast charger is also available for the same charging time.
